Following potential 2017 draftees...

Let the record show I was a fan of Josh Green before UK was reportedly looking at him (duke too) I posted a video of his in the summer IIRC.

tellin ya the 2020 draft is fittin to be loaded..

My old favorite Alexander Vezenkov is blowing up in Spain this year.

If we want a lights out shooter in the second Vezenkov might finally declare for the draft:

I've loved Vezenkov for a while now. He's just so fun to watch when he's on fire. He's like a PF version of Klay Thompson - unconscious shooting, with or without preparation, with the feet set or not, from weird positions... he just shoots it... and it goes in. He is legit shooter at the 4 and is playing great for Barcelona lately. He's averaging 8.5pts/3.3rbs/1ast in 19 minutes a game... He's shooting crazy 58/47/80 and insane 72% TS% this year. His shot is pure with very quick release. He is very smart and skilled player, but he's going to be somewhat of a liability on D. Still worth taking a shot in the second IMO.

I saw that Luka Doncic could declare for the '17 draft. It's unlikely but he is #2 in DX for '18.

He is automatically entered into the draft this year, right?

No, he's 21 right now and will be 22 in August. Players need to be 23 to be automatically eligible for the draft. He still needs to declare.

I'm not sure if the 23 or older rule is for at the time of the draft or for players turning 23 in the year of the draft. If I had to guess it would be the latter, so he probably will be automatically entered into the draft in 2018 if he doesn't declare this year.

edit: seems like he's automatically eligible after all. The rule is 22 or older not 23 or older.

U are mistaken, he's auto-eligible. The rule; "Is or will be 22 during the calendar year of the draft". (aka born in '95)

I'm reading this one:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_draft

International players who are at least 23 years old are automatically eligible for selection, while the players younger than 22 have to declare their eligibility.

Where can we find the original text for this one?

edit: https://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q76
An international player is eligible for the NBA draft that is held in the same calendar year as his 22nd birthday. An international player who is at least 19 but younger than 22 also can become draft eligible by declaring himself an early entry player. An international player who is older than 22 or was not selected in the draft in the same calendar year as his 22nd birthday is considered a rookie free agent.

I guess the wiki page has a mistake. So you are right. He will be automatically eligible.
