Donte first workout was with the Jazz, just like Donovan so he is the Jazz's main target. :cool: But seriously tho, him and Walker would gel will in the Jazz system. I still really like those two at 21.

I'd pay good money to sit in on the jazz brass meetings after these workouts. I'd like to hear everyone's real take on these players. Would be fascinating.

This isnt how i'd put it. Makes it sound like he was considered part of the 2017 HS Class, he was part of the 2018 class.

To answer the original question, Simons is of age AND one year removed from graduating HS. What he did this year is whats called a post-graduate year at IMG Academy.

Also FWIW it's not exactly like what Thon Maker did, Thon went to HS in Canada, after spending years in the states, so he could declare as an international. Thon was more like abusing a loophole.

A few years back IMG got a giant indian dude Satnam Singh Bhamarra drafted at the end of the 2nd rd after a post-graduate year, to the Mavs IIRC. Thats the same path Simons took, except he's way better and way more hyped.
 
With regard to Jae and moving up... I could see 21+Jae+cap fodder getting us 11 and Marvin Williams...

Jae+21+cap fodder for Faried + 14

Jae + 21 + cap fodder for 15 and Gortat or nix the cap fodder and sub smith and Meeks for gortat

Milwaukee would love Jae... I don’t want their terrible contracts doe.

I don’t love those deals at all... but that is something I could see if dL loves someone
 
I think Burks, #21, 2nds might get us up if we take a bad contract that goes to 2020. Don't know if we want to do that.

Such as....

Just watched the video with him. He actually seems like a really nice kid. And he does look young. Any chance he could grow another inch?
