Following Potential 2018 Draftees

IDK if I would say proven, but they arent just going to give up on the 8th overall pick for the 21st pick.

Yeah, but everybody says Nkilitina was drafted too high. So what is his real value with the regards to 2017? 13-15? Now if this draft is stronger, the #15 pick in 2017 might be worth the #20 pick in 2018. The main thing in the entire conversation is this - NY has given up on him for the role for which he was drafted. His stock is at an all time low and I like buying low.

Regarding Robinson...

Is his defense really that bad? Is it effort, technique or ability? Could it improve with coaching? Can he play in stretches as a scorer knowing he probably won't be playing in the closing minutes?

It might be a case where he was needed so much on offense that he coasted on defense. Hard to say. That's one reason he needs to workout.

LMAO i'm tempted to make the 2025 draftees thread. Joel Embiid, Steph Curry and Nate Robinson talking on IG bout 2006-born Oliver Rioux. Who's 12 and 7' and cordinated and for some reason is playing vs kids his age on 8' hoops. He's Canadian.

Best highlights ever btw. **** had me rolling.

8-foot baskets. Canada is so weird with sports. When I played football there they had 3 downs and not 4.

That kid needs better competition, stat.

He's more athletic and slightly bigger which helps him finish better in traffic and at the rim, but their perimeter game is similar(Harvey had some sick stepbacks too). And their defensive deficiencies especially are eerily similar.
Comparisons are fun, but they say nothing of potential NBA success or lack of. In that sense they are pretty silly. Two completely different players.

For example his game could be compared to a guy like Harvey who never did anything or I've seen a lot of comparisons to Rip Hamilton who was a very successful player in the league.

Reality is his career will likely be very different than both players.

Not as bad as they are saying. About average. Had to score a lot at BC, could be better on D without the scoring load responsibility.

I don't know if I can keep my support for MPJ anymore. This is becoming worrying. I said when I posted my big board that I didn't take into account whatever medical issues players have because I don't have their records and I'm in no position to judge their health... but... this is not good.
