Following Potential 2018 Draftees

How do you guys think Grayson Allen will do as a pro? If the opportunity was there, would you want him on the Jazz?

I would like him as a floor-spacer + off-screen + off handoffs threat in the Redick mold. I don't think his creation and tools are on elite enough level to be a primary creator in the league and I have my doubts about him being secondary creator. If we had late first, there are worse players you can spend that pick on. I don't think he's good enough to be taken where we will likely end up and I don't think he lasts past end of the first, so he probably won't be there for us to take in the second.

I like Killeya-Jones as a late first or second-round prospect. He plays hard and rebounds pretty well for his build. He can shoot and has good hands and instincts around the rim. Seems like he could be a 3rd or 4th big.

Your top 3 wing prospects include ?? Doncic? the guy from Cincinnati?

Depends on if I include guys like Bridges, Porter, and Knox into the "wing" category.

But including perimeter based/playmaking 4's in with wings, I would say:

1. Doncic
2. Porter
3. Knox
4. Bridges
5. Evans
6. Musa

Grayson Allen is really surprising so far this year. He can really shoot and has adequate size for a SG.

How's his defense?

A guy whose shooting motion was a bit similar to Jaren Jackson Jr.'s might be Thurl Bailey. Bailey put more arc on the ball though.

I'm still very interested in Jared Vanderbilt at UK. He's a 6'9 combo forward, potentially a point forward, with a good handle, vision and passing. He also plays defense. If he can shoot, he could be a lottery pick. If he can't, he'll be a mid-late first-round pick. He doesn't have the floor speed and bounce of Knox though. He could become a Marvin Williams-type player at the next level, or possibly something more.

Marvin Williams? How good is this kid's handle and passing?

I think Vanderbilt's ceiling is Odom

I could agree with most of that but I would put Justin Jackson #5

He is purely a PF and I don't see him having any ability to play the 3. Overrated because of huge wingspan IMO. Solid prospect, but I don't see him having lottery potential.
