Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I was thinking the same. They need outside shooting and that was his last workout before going home to make his decision. I was wondering if he worked out with anyone else before that though.

I’ll bet SA or Atlanta take him though... LA would be his fallback stop. I don’t think he is on the board when we pick.

I think we choose between KBD and Okobo. I think they really like Jerome Robinson and would find a way to get in the 30s to pick him if he’s still around.

The Lakers have already been rumored to a promise with Mitchell Robinson and Chandler Hutchison. No one really knows. I think for certain though a Lakers promise isn't going to make him shutdown workouts. If he is shutting it down, its someone higher than 25.

From some of the stuff I've seen from Tony Jones on twitter the Jazz seem to really like Donte Divincenzo, I think they may pick him over KBD or Okobo.

I would say that was a much different situation because:
1. They knew who the Lakers were going to pick because the Lakers are exceedingly stupid
2. They got the Kings 2019 draft pick (top 1 protected)

So there really was 0 risk in their trade. They knew who was going 1 and they knew who was going. If the Jazz trade down to 26 or 30, they really have no idea how is going 21/22/23/24/25/26/27/28/29. It's too risky and the Jazz are too smart. They are going to have someone they really like at 21. They should just draft him because they are a smart team. If someone gives them an unprotected projected lottery pick, then yeah, that would change my mind. A few meh 2nd rounders does not.

Beside the fact that if you really want another pick, you can buy one most years or trade a future pick. No way Philly keeps all their picks this year. If the 2019 draft is weak and there is a guy you love at 26 then the Jazz should make a move to acquire the 26th pick.

If we are trying to get another pick because we really like guys like Okobo, Okobie, Diop, etc, would people (other than Cy of course) think this is conceivable:

Burks, cash, #52 and a future 2nd
for
Carroll and #29

Why for Brooklyn - #1 - Burks makes $4 million less than Carroll next season. So we give them cash and save them cash in this deal. The Nets are rebuilding and Burks is 6 years younger. Maybe they think he can turn into a success story like Joe Harris.

Why for us: Carroll immediately becomes part of our rotation. If Favors leaves, he's probably the starter. #29 can be used on one of those guys I listed before.

That was my first suggestion... I’d do it for a few reasons and I think they’d consider it too.

I thought both Chicago and porty promised Hutchison.

I know u love trades but man you really need to make them less lopsided for the jazz if you want positive feedback. AB for Carroll straight up is fair... we likely need to add a second... why do they add a first here? Would you propose that if you were a nets fan?
