Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I’ve heard the soft comments. While I do think it’s tough to teach someone to be aggressive and play tougher, I do think it’s possible. To a degree. I think we have a core of guys here too (especially if we keep Sef) who can bring that out in him. So that’s not a huge concern for me. Especially given his great length which can help overcome some of that.

The high hips don’t concern me too much other than as it relates to his knee history. I think it would be tougher to get into a lower stance defensively or when boxing out in that it could inflame the knee. Potentially anyway. On that note as well, I have to wonder how good his college’s medical staff and trainers are given it wasn’t a major program.

In general, I think it’s really tough to find someone that big with that good of a shot and dribbling ability (looks smooth and natural in transition) and to find it in the 2nd round is huge. I think he has the length and athleticism and surrounding cast here to be an average defender. Couple that with solid offensive game and he’d be an asset.

I also think he could maybe play some 5.
Why do you think a guy who weighs 210 pounds, has a history of knee problems, and has a rep for bring soft in Conference USA could play center in the nba?

I’ve had some really bad takes this off-season. Too many. Chalk it up to a year I’ve hated teaching-wise (I have the worst kids in the building because I can manage them which is such ********; it’s not my fault administrators have given tenure to teachers who shouldn’t be teaching in an urban district and can’t manage a class) and the incoming 3rd kid who’s now here.

I’m better than this and will try to be.

Are there any players you guys are really interested in for the Jazz at 52? Or in the second round in general? Right now my favorite second round guy is Gary Clark. I like him a lot. I'm also intrigued by Rawle Alkins and Penava. Somewhat intrigued by Wenyen Gabriel just because he's so young still.

Gabriel would be a wise choice he's a great kid. Bright and hardworkin and he's been rapidly improving the last few years

I think that Deandre Ayton is the best prospect in the draft and I think that Phoenix should draft him. But they should really consider Mo Bamba too. He probably has the highest potential ceiling of anyone in this draft. I mean if he becomes one of the best rim protectors in the NBA, a good defender overall AND he develops an offensive game where he averages around 20 PPG and can hit jumpers that's scary. He does have a long way to go to get there offensively though.

I am holding out hope that Diallo falls to us at 52. That would humble him and make him hungry to do what our development staff wants.

people keep saying this is best development staff but if they get credit for Mitchell's and others what about the Trey Burks? Alec Burkes? Exum? And others. They have not some homeruns and whiffed on some too just like most staffs so why do people around here act like they are the top tier?
