Following Potential 2020 draftees

ESPN just updated its mock draft. They have Josh Green going to Utah at #23. They show Denver drafting Pokusevski at #22 right before the Jazz's pick.

Paul Reed is all the way down at #51 to the Warriors with the Jazz's 2nd-rd pick. Something is really causing him to drop.

Here's their mock from #15 - #25, a range we might be able to trade into.
15 - Magic draft Cole Anthony
16 - Blazers draft Tyrese Maxey
17 - T'wolves draft Saddiq Bey
18 - Mavericks draft Theo Maledon
19 - Nets draft Jalen Smith
20 - Heat draft Kira Lewis Jr.
21 - Sixers draft Nico Mannion
22 - Nuggets draft Aleksej Pokusevski
23 - Jazz draft Josh Green
24 - Bucks draft Leandro Bolmaro
25 - Thunder draft Jaden McDaniels

So ESPN thinks that our last win of the season cost us the opportunity to draft Kira Lewis and Pokusevski. We might be able to trade with the Nets or Sixers, but it will cost us. Josh Green, if he's really available, is a decent 3D wing prospect. I could see Dallas taking him and Theo Maledon being on the board instead.

Just watched him for the first time... Holy **** he’s good. Million ways to get it... drives and finishes with both hands, shoots off screens or off the dribble... floaters. Why isn’t he higher on expert draft boards.

He's #76 on ESPN's big board. I like him in the mid-late 2nd round. He's staying in the draft.

He's consistently been late first/early second on my board. I like him for the same reasons you mentioned. He's a bucket. The only reason I have him where I do and not higher is that I'm not sure if he can provide value to a team if he's not in a high usage offensive role. And if he does I'm not sure how high that level of value will be. Jay Scrubb and Mason Jones are kind of in a similar boat as prospects.
 
Georgios Kalaitzakis should be getting the same amount of buzz as Leandro Bolmaro if not more. But he's not because he's not a flashy highlight machine like Bolmaro. Instead he just makes the correct play. 6'8, listed wingspan of around 7 feet, solid frame, can run pick and roll as the ball handler, good passer, excellent at drawing fouls and getting to the line. His 3 point shot percentage isn't great but unlike Bolmaro his form looks good and he has full confidence firing off the catch or bounce with no hesitation. The 3 point volume is good. The only main concern with him is defense.

Never heard of him before, so just pulled up a clip. Took me two minutes to realize he's a righthander with the way that he favors his left (and looks a lot like a lefty) when dribbling. Do you know if he has finishing/passing ambidexterity as well?

2nd round for Paul Reed....ah...yeah that would be fantastic.
 
The greek wing player in question is solid, he's kinda more like the russian player that went in the first rd sergey karasev. Not as good as Bolmaro though. Fringe draftable player. He's one of those guys where I'd usually say "I'd really like to see him in summer league".


There's no way the greek kid is on the level of lets say Dzanan Musa. To draft him in that sort of range would be a reach.
 
One thing I do think ESPN/Givony is gonna end up being right about is being high on Robert Woodard... I agree with their assesment of his less than ideal showcasing at the lesser MSU too.

I've been here posting about Woodard since he was in HS! He was a Team USA kid.

Is there anyone here who thinks the Greek player is better than Woodard II?
