From Tony's latest Athletic article. Nothing too crazy

The interesting thing for the Jazz is the volume of viable potential rotation players that could be available to them at pick No. 23 of Wednesday night’s draft. Green, Tyler Bey, Robert Woodard, Desmond Bane, Jaden McDaniels, Jalen Smith, Xavier Tillman, Zeke Nnaji. The list goes on. Even Leandro Bolmaro, or someone like Tre Jones or like Kira Lewis, if he were to slip through the draft.

A big, a guard, a wing. The Jazz will be able to choose through those three positions. A high upside pick, or a plug and play prospect. The Jazz will be able to choose through that.

All of those options and our two mock drafts came back consistent.

Why?

Maybe the answer lies in the word consistent. For the Jazz, Green would represent a middle ground between long-term upside and immediate production. McDaniels almost without question is the highest upside pick the Jazz could make at No. 23. He’s the one prospect who figures to be available that has a star ceiling. But, he has the lowest floor, almost without question.

Trading up anywhere beyond a couple of spots isn’t all that likely, simply because the Jazz have limited assets to deal with. Trading back to acquire an asset? That’s more feasible. The reason that makes a little more sense? One, the Jazz could use an extra asset or two. Secondly, there are players the Jazz really like that can be had later than the No. 23 pick.

Now, let’s say someone like Villanova’s Saddiq Bey slides a bit and is still on the board after No. 19? The Jazz love Bey. I could see them burning up the phone lines in order to see if a deal could be had.

Tony has said the Jazz love Saddiq Bey for months. I've seen his draft range anywhere from 11ish to 20ish.

Indeed, Lindsey said the Jazz will make their selection with no discrimination to position. So, point guards, wings and bigs are all in play. Whomever Utah comes away with, you can be confident that is the person whom it had number one on its board at the time of the pick.
