Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Surely, he is talking about strictly NCAA players. Lebron and Luka were more skilled at their respective ages.

I’m splitting hairs here, I get he’s just saying Coop is super skilled. I’m
I doubt Vitale watches anything outside of college basketball, so it's probably accurate for his own experience.

Just a reminder, Dick Vitale is 85 years old.

Flagg is a good player but that's just ABSURD hyperbole (not that we shouldn't expect it from Dickie V).

Since Luka is in the news now, I'll point out that Doncic, for example, was a legitimate generational, team-changing talent at the same age.

Luka had already proved he could do real damage in the Euroleague (the second best level of competition on the planet) at 18, whereas Flagg is still playing against kids.

Do you think Dick Vitale watched Euroleague basketball?

Jazz now have 4 picks in this draft...for the moment at least. Not sure I'm too amped about 2nd round prospects, but I'd be looking for Rocco, Ruzic, Proctor, maybe the mighty Dink. JT Toppin is worth taking on, imo.

The Spurs are the luckiest franchise in the modern history of the NBA. They are going to get the #1 pick unless we can help them and the Hawks make the playoffs.

I almost welcome it. It will be the end of my fandom.

Because they’re lucky and they’ll have two lottery picks with flattened odds. It’s gonna happen.

Chicago will also convey the #11 pick and take Wolf.
Currently they have a 2% chance at #1. I guess 5% when you add the current Hawks odds. But both teams could win in the play-in and not be in the lottery

Odds like that didn’t stop Atlanta or Houston last year.

And again, they have Atlanta’s pick, who will sink like a stone in the wake of JJ’s injury.
Atlanta wont drop out of the play in. A healthy Hawks team (sans JJ) can still win a play-in series.

You’re high if you think Atlanta is making the playoffs.

The Spurs will have a combined ~10% chance at #1. Book it.
I mean they will certainly make the play in. Only have to win 2 games from there against other bad/mediocre teams. Hawks have the 7th easiest remaining schedule. Spurs have the 15th.

Hawks can easily get below the Sixers. Spurs will tank if they don’t make win now moves.

They are gonna get to ~10% combined for #1 and ~40% combined for top-4. They’re going to hit on something. It happened for them *twice* last year (hitting top-4, then the other leaps pushing the Raptors to 8 which made their pick convey to the Spurs).
