Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Just watching random conference tourney games today.

Nick Martinelli is an extremely interesting player. Turn on the Northwestern game 2nd half and watch. The dude is a funny scorer. Probably has zero NBA shot, but I could see him being a great European player. He jumps on his FT's, which I honestly thought was illegal to do.

You can jump all you want as long as you don't cross the FT line when landing.

He’s a little frail, but honestly I don’t think he’s too far off of the defensive guards that went high in previous drafts (Black, Wallace, Castle, etc). On paper he’s probably a little bit better.
Wallace was on a different level defensively, but I agree he's at a similar level as Black/Castle, just with different strengths and weaknesses.

Looks like he went out with a good game.

I'm still torn on if he is such a good player that he'll figure it out in the NBA, or if he is just a really good college player. Whatever the case, I'm a fan.

I'd like to see how he measures, but I think a lot of what he does will translate. He'll be an effective defensive player, decision maker and ball mover who needs to be able to make 35% of this 3s. Not sure he'll be able to rebound at the same level against NBA athletes, but his numbers say he should be a mid 1st-rd pick.

I have too many games going on at once right now, but Standford / Cal is going down to the wire with Andrej having another huge game (has almost half his team's points) and Raynaud having a pretty big game as well.

Yates with 23 points tonight, big down the stretch, and played all 50 minutes in a double OT game.

Really hope he returns to school but he’s certainly worth a look if he goes.

i've watched duke probably more than any team other than rutgers and i'm nearly always unimpressed with maluach. already today in the first 4 minutes, he's been beat badly three times by GT's very much average big man. if defense is really all you do, you have to be better than that.

Not watching, but is that Ndongo? I dont think he's average. I think he has a chance to be a good pro.

Ndongo is a 22 year old sophomore, but he started playing basketball late in Africa.

He looked really good at the Elite Camp last year and I was shocked he didnt get a Combine invite. He's got a 7'3 wingspan and he's got a good motor/athletic. His faceup game and feel is better than he gets credit for/gets to show all the time. If he declares (which he probably should given his age) he would be a 2nd round pick in the 40's for me.
