Could you do an analysis on their passing statistical indicators coming out of college?Nahhh, Cam is a legit blackhole. Ace has potential to be a decent passer and a lot of potential to be a very good defender.

Ace is also a rough fit if you believe in Lauri, Taylor, or Walker much at all because those three guys are horrible at passing and dribbling and you're adding yet another big man who can't pass or dribble.
Nothing crazy or deep, but he had a lower assist per 100 possessions and assist% than Bailey and he played on a team that had more scoring options around him than Bailey does.Could you do an analysis on their passing statistical indicators coming out of college?
I dont get how Lauri/Hendricks/Bailey have similiar issues. Now that the Jazz are committing to the multi-year tank, trading Lauri becomes more of a possibility. As for Hendricks, he isn't good enough to affect the Jazz's draft decision this year. It's true though, if you look at the Pelicans, they have a bunch of jumpshooters who don't drive, move the ball well or create advantages. A perimeter with Bailey, Lauri and Hendricks would have similar issues, and you'd have your point guard dominating the ball.

Bailey's *potentially* elite skill is something Lauri/Hendricks dont do at all, self-creating.

Yeah I don't really like being a stickler about comparisons....but have people seen Lauri play basketball? The one thing Ace does well is something Lauri is horrible at.
Based on, like, a dozen passes?Nahhh, Cam is a legit blackhole. Ace has potential to be a decent passer and a lot of potential to be a very good defender.
Ace is going to have to transition to playing like Lauri in the NBA.
All that stuff is being way way wayyyyy overstated.I just don't see Ace as being able to create at all in the NBA. His first step is heinously bad, his handle is bad, and his playmaking is bad. He reminds me of Harrison Barnes in that he can literally do an iso from the triple threat in college, but he's not nearly good enough at it to be anything but an offball player in the NBA.
I would say mostly based on the fact he has seemingly improved on it during the season as it became a talking point and the fact that I think the bigger issue in him not getting assist consistently is teammate quality and role.Based on, like, a dozen passes?
