Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Tre Johnson followed up his 29 point debut with 28 points again tonight.

I know these Freshman are mostly playing against bad teams, but they are all having huge nights to start the season.
Opposite of last years draft…we were dying to have guys pop and they were like “nah”.

Demin saved BYU from an embarrassing loss last night. They were playing against a crap team and were at home. Should have won by 25+. Scraped out a 6 point win.

Demin and the 2 centers were the only players that had a good night. Without Egor that's an embarrassing loss

Jaland Lowe had another good game (Sophomore guard who is taking over for Carrington) 20-3

Collin Murray Boyles had 19-16-4

Quantance had 5-12-3. Dude is such a physical force as a guy who should be a HS Senior. He might have a huge Sophomore year.

Will Riley had 14 and 7

Kasparas had a huge game. 12-13-8 on 3 shots. Shot 9/10 from the FT line.

Saint Thomas (Transfer from North Colorado, same school Knecht transferred from), is averaging 10-6-6 for USC in 2 games.

JT Toppin having a great start (transferred to Texas Tech from New Mexico) averaging 22-8 in 2 games.

Cedric Coward (transfered to WSU) had another nice game filling the stat sheet. 18-7-3-3 on 6 shots. 3/5 from 3, 7/8 from the FT line. He could be this year's Knecht as the best senior tranfer.

Nique Clifford having a great season start. He was a first round sleeper in 2024 for a decent amount of people before he withdrew. Had 31-13 yesterday. Averaging 26-14 on 66% from 3 in 2 games. 5th year senior.

He's a good passer and his size allows him to see everything, I do wonder if he is explosive enough and/or a good enough ball handler to consistently get past NBA defenders though
He’s handling full court pressure just fine and has had some very explosive drives for dunks, he’s definitely NBA capable/elite.

He looked good using hesitations and finishing at the rim. He also plays with NBA pace. He’ll have the benefits of NBA spacing and screens.

He won’t get by every defender, but I think he’ll be fine. How well he shoots will affect how teams need to guard him. If you look at Luka, for example, he’s such a good shooter that defenders crowd him and Luka takes advantage of that to get his hip by his defender.
