Following Potential 2025 Draftees

If Charlotte puts the 4th pick on the market, the Jazz should snatch it and take the guy they want.

I’m just repeating this for emphasis.
Depends on price but I'm not paying much. I think Wiz might do 6/18 for 4 or 3.

Perhaps some of it, but Zion surely is part of the problem as well. Unmotivated, undisciplined, unserious, out of shape, and brittle. NO should have moved on from him years ago and let him become someone else's problem. He's done little but hold the franchise hostage to his immaturity and brittle physique (in turn a function of his immaturity). But, they just can't quit him. Somebody there needs to nut up and cut the cord, regardless of what short-term opprobrium he'll get for it.

Of course, that's only my opinion.

Sure, Zion absolutely deserves part of the blame here. These players aren’t kids entering the league, they aren’t far from it. New Orleans doesn’t have undying commitment to Zion. What they actually have is apathy toward him and everything related to the team. The owners simply do not give a **** about what the Pelicans do.

Had he gone to a different franchise, he may still have had some of the same problems off the court. But it certainly didn’t help that this franchise does not support its players. Some guys need a strong support system around them and Zion was clearly one of those players. The Pelicans are a trash franchise that look the other way when their players need help.

Quite the novel word. I have never seen it before.

Hats off to you, good sir.
It's my small contribution to classing up this joint.

Fears would be the best ballhandler since D-Will for the Jazz?
You know what I love about Fears and his handle? I love that it's not just flash and empty calories. His handle actually serves a purpose and it gets him literally every place he wants on the floor. It gets him past defenders, it gets him in the paint, it gets him to the line, it creates advantages of the sort that require help and thus opens passing opportunities.

I teased this earlier, but I think I'm ready to say it... I will have Fears at no. 3 on my final board next week and I'd be ecstatic if we drafted him. He needs to figure out his 3p jumper, but even there we have some promising indicators...

Yeah, Fears gets where he wants on the floor. It's nice. Now he needs to finish plays.

We'll agree that NO is a trash franchise. One of two worst in league along with Charlotte. He might have done better with another franchise, but he almost certainly couldn't have done worse.

If he gets a little stronger for the finishing and works out the otd 3s, he might be the best scorer and playmaker in the class. To be frank, I like the upside even more than Harper's.
