Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I don’t think that means too much, I mean doesn’t everyone shoot well in workouts? Hell, I’ve seen Ben Simmons make multiple 3’s in a row in workouts.
I mean a youtube clip is not the same as the drills that an NBA team is going to put a prospective draftee through. At some level, these guys know what they are doing. Remember Donovan's workout, where the Jazz zipped their lips and burned the tape?

It's moot anyway as Demin isn't falling out of the lottery.

If you slap yourself in the face and squint, you might be able to convince yourself that Jeremiah Fears is roughly comparable to Jamal Murray entering the draft. The shooting efficiency isn't there for Fears, but the shot generation off the dribble is similar and their athleticism is fairly similar. Fears might give up close to an inch to Murray.
Fears scares me. He's probably out of rotations or out of the league in 5-6 years if he can't shoot 3 ball at league average. If the Jazz fall to 5, there are only two viable options: Tre Johnson or Kon Kneuppel. both those guys having the size and scoring ability that will lead to 10+ year NBA careers

Demin was 27% from 3 on 5 attempts per... 69.5% from the line...

Kyle Anderson isn't a terrible comp... he shot 48% from 3 on 1.6 attempts (lol) and 73% from the line in college.

IDK... the thing with Demin is if he can't shoot he can't play on a team that wins games. Certianly he can't play in the playoffs unless he's Amen Thompson level defense

As a byu fan I watched every minute of every game that demin played. Demin’s touch is very good. He has a weird flexibility issue that reminds me of Gordon Hayward. I think that and a core strength issue really limited his ability to deal with ball pressure. Bottom line in time with work on his body those issues will go away.

He also effectively guarded quick guards all year but was asked to battle bigs.

On his shooting, it looked like a footwork/base issue. I think it goes back to the body issues.

BYU also did not take advantage of his excellent mid post game.

In short I think he will be a much better pro than college player. I hope the jazz can find a way to get him in the late lottery.

So Tre Johnson 6'6 and good athlete is gonna have a 10+ year career in the NBA. The only question I have is he Swaggy P (floor), Ray Allen (Ceiling) or a healthy Micheal Redd (reasonable comp). 40% from 3 and 87% from the line is a good sign.

Kon Knueppel reminds me of Hayward a little bit(not just cause he's white lol) though I'm not sure he can put on the kind of Muscle Hayward did... maybe a blend of Hayward and Bojan is a good comp. 40% from 3 and 90% from the line and 48% spot up shooter from 3. I see a 10+ year career likely as a starter.

It's more likely to me that Tre and Kon have better careers than Edgecombe. Both are safer picks, in my eyes, than Edgecombe who was poor shooting off the dribble. Btw, there is just no way Edgecombe is 6'5... he's 6'3 maybe. and of slight build compared to Donovan... I don't see it as much with Edgecombe. I'd be concerned if we take him tbh. I think he might slide on draft night a little bit

Dont we have a better version of Wolf at home?
Wolf is one of one. For better or worse. The handles, passing, and wiggle at his size are just like nothing else. He might not translate but I am mesmerized by the combination of attributes and if he hits it’ll be special.

I think the Jazz will go with Flagg, Harper, Bailey, Johnson and Edgecombe. I don't think Fears really enters the conversation. If everything goes right for him, then he'll cook, but it's a lot to bet on with a top-5 pick.

If the Jazz really, really loved Fears, then maybe they'd trade back from #4 to #6 and try to pick up another 2026 pick along the way, but I doubt they'd do it.
