Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I'm still a big Kas guy. Honestly, the struggles are just as informative as the highlights. He's played pretty well despite his shot not falling. I don't see him as a low potential either, he has as much potential as anyone to be an elite heliocentric type player. Size/Athleticism =/= potential.

Just to add to the glaze storm, I think he’ll be able to play center if his team needs a cheat code. Kid has really wide shoulders and looks like a man among boys despite being an entire class younger than basically everyone.

It will be hilarious when Flagg comes into the league and people realize he's pretty much the same size as Hayward.

He's just 6'8" without elite athleticism. Flagg will have a pro role but it's not gonna resemble the one at Duke.

when i haven't read anything you've written for a while i totally forget how completely bereft you are of any semblance of a human in touch with reality

If the Jazz somehow fall to the #7 pick, I would take Derik Queen and play through him in the high post. He has the right combination of passing and scoring to be an offensive hub. Hopefully, he measures out well at the Combine.

Queen has been playing well, but I get less and less convinced on him by the day. At this point I’d have CMB, Newell, and Wolf all ahead of him. CMB and Newell can at least defend a position at the next level and while Wolf has similar concerns to Queen on defense, offensively he plays like a perimeter guy. Queen is dependent on playing the 5 on offense but also doesn’t have a position on defense. Not convinced of him defending at the 5 at all.

I don’t know how serious Sorber’s injury is, but I also would prefer him as I see him as a true defender at the 5.

I honestly don’t get the Queen love. He has a particularly long way to go to be an NBA player given his speed, poor defense, and old school skill set. Ogre ball hasn’t been effective in decades at this point. He has some passing chops and can shoot a little but it doesn’t look anywhere close to sufficient for the NBA.
