Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Whenever talking about DL’s record, I always find it funny how drafting Gobert and Mitchell is some kind of afterthought and we agonize over things like Grayson Allen. DL got us to the red zone, but couldn’t finish the job. It wasn’t perfect but you can’t deny the fact that he hit two home runs (and a lot of other smaller moves) that got us in a good position. Players like Mitchell and Gobert don’t grow on trees.

Peja's son is currently carrying Cal to a win 2OT in the ACC tourney. Lawal has had some great moments in this game as well.
What is dont get with stojakovic is how he shoots 28% from 3 but 82% from FT. His shot looks good. He is a second round sleeper for me. I have to believe his shot comes around.

Half the fools on this board would have traded Kessler for peanuts even a few months ago. I think the problem DL ran into was trying to draft to fit Quinn's roster rigidity, especially those non- Rudy minutes. We forget how white knuckle things got when Rudy checked out.

I don't think he's a great shooter after watching him live a few times. He's good, but not a real shooter like his Dad.

He's pretty long and more athletic than you would think and if his shot is better than I'm giving him credit for could do something in the league. He's had a few really good games this year, so maybe that shows his potential, but he's had so few great games that I don't think he'll declare. I think he goes back to school.

He wasn’t on first round radar. Every team passed on him.
Not Dallas though. They had a shot and took Luka first, who was one of the only few that justified being taken before Brunson. The point being we were drafting 21st and ended up taking a guy who's not the 21st best player in his class. And that **** matters, especially knowing DL burnt multiple FRPs just to acquire a staring PG and Brunson was right there. **** even get more ironic when Brunson was basically the one who ended the whole Rudy/DM/Quin era in 2022.

Number 1 record in the NBA. Bunch of all stars. 6th man of the year and runner up.
That team was insanely fun and extremely good and there were some injuries in the playoffs that might have lowered our ceiling.

Dallas passed on him too. Just didn't pass on him twice.

Actually it doesn’t matter. He was a good pick at 21 he’s been a starter and has always played a legitimate role wherever he’s been. Hes no scrub.

I'm sorry but to what zone? In case you aren't aware but since DL took over in 2013, 12 teams out of 15 have gotten to the WCF. Only three teams that couldn't make it are the Pelicans, Kings and...you guessed it. I mean, that's hell of a company don't you think? And y'all act like what DL did to this team was some kinda accomplishments. Then there are at least 20 other GMs that deserve more praises.

And I thought we are over on this Donovan/Rudy debate? I think the ultimare conclusion is, if Donovan and Rudy were really some kinda generational talents that "don't grow on trees", you'd expect them to at least to take us the WCF, like what other 12 Western teams have done in the last 10 yrs or so, right?

I mean Rudy did it for the Wolves just last year and I like Donovan's chance this year with the cavs this year. It's either they just weren't as good as we thought they were, which massively undermined DL's credit for drafting them in the place, or it was simply a massive failure on the management part for not building a competant team around them. Like we had prime Rudy for 7+ seasons but couldn't do it, then only to have him go and achieve it on his second year with the Wolves, aka one of the worst run organization in American sports? Either way it wasn't a good look for DL, which is why we fired him and he's struggling to find a full time job in the league right now.
