Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Traore has some massive games….his playoff game last year made me think he could be in the mix for top 3 before the season. But he also has so many stinkers and he’s continued to be inconsistent.

I remember when people were hyping JHS because he had some massive games. There was this idea that a player’s peak meant more. Obviously didn’t work out for JHS, but is there anyone that still subscribes to that theory?
I have thought that before. I think I still kind of do. The highs can show you what a player is capable of if developed to their maximum potential. Or in other words the highs can give you a glimpse of their ceiling.
All information is important though, so I'm not sure I would say highs mean more.

It would have to be PG + Harper for Lauri?

It's hard to see that deal happening. I'm not sure Lauri is worth the 2nd overall pick, especially not in a vacuum. Philly would really have to believe in Embiid staying healthy (and think PG is completely cooked) to make that kind of deal. I think they would ask Utah to add something.
I would do that.

I wonder what Traore would have looked like I had he been playing in Egor’s spot at BYU. We talk about bad college situations all the time, but BYU was as good as it gets for a playmaking guard.

Is this the deepest international class of the past 5 years?

  • VJ Edgecombe (Bahamas)
  • Kasparas (Lithuania)
  • Khaman Malauch (South Sudan)
  • Egor Demin (Russia)
  • Nolan Traore (France)
  • Noa Essengue (France)
  • Ben Saraf (Israel)
  • Noah Penda (France)
  • Hugo Gonzalez (Spain)
  • Hansen Yang (Spain)
  • Dame Sarr (Italy)
  • Maine Raynaud (France)
  • Joan Beringer (France)

All these players have potential to go in the first rounder.

Then you have some sleepers who could rise like:

  • Neoklis Avdalas
  • Bogojlub Markovic
  • Rocco Zikarsky
  • Alex Toohey
  • Michael Ruzic

It doesn't feel like it as much because the top international guys played in the NCAA.

I'm guessing the Yang is from Spain is a typo.

Oh and he officially declared for the draft.

Also Beringer claims he is 6'11 without shoes in the article. DX says his wingspan is 7'5. That puts him a good deal bigger than his most common comp, Daniel Gafford. 2nd youngest player in the draft. Going to grow into his frame well.
I think Beringer is my top guy for #21 unless something crazy happens and an obvious lottery guy is still sitting there.

Powell is a smaller, poor man’s Bryant….but you could already say Bryant is a poor man’s 3&D prospect. I probably won’t find 30 guys I really like this year, so he could be a first rounder based on that.

64 FT% and low 3FG volume makes him a really bad shooting prospect. I’m not fooled by his 38%.

Sarr is out, but Riley and Condon could also be added to this list.
