Which is fine, because the Jazz don’t need to hit on those picks. . . but every guy that comes back for NIL just makes the depth of the next draft that much better. I’m hoping it’s stocked to the brim in 2027 when the Jazz have 3 picks to play with (the Lakers pick and the best two of their own pick, Minnesota and Cleveland.) If the Jazz are looking to build some depth or make a decent trade after tanking. . . that will be the new window to work with.Wow, the second round this year could be epically bad.
I was thinking about how NIL might actually help the NBA by giving guys more time to develop before decisions need to be made, having more European players taking the guaranteed money and competing here in the US (even if just for a year or two) and improving the depth of each draft. If teams are hitting on more picks consistently, it makes for a better product - even if the star players aren’t being spread out as much as we’d like them to be.

Good points. Hurts us in the short run, but is a good thing in the long run.Which is fine, because the Jazz don’t need to hit on those picks. . . but every guy that comes back for NIL just makes the depth of the next draft that much better. He reminds me of Viktor Lakhin. The NBA released the 75 players attending the draft combine yesterday. A name that's missing is a 7 foot Russian Center from Clemson. He reminds me of Quenten Post who is in the Dubs playoff rotation as a rookie. When Clemson played Duke he was the player of the game in a Clemson win. I know every dog has their day but he outplayed all the Duke thoroughbreds on that day and his team won. I realize the guy has rather modest stats and is older but if he outplays the No. 1 pick in the draft there might be something here.
That's him. 11.4 ppg 6.4 boards and .375 from three. He might be worth a flier with a second round pick or UDFA.He reminds me of Viktor Lakhin.
Does he have length? He's got a pretty narrow frame and doesnt look all that big/long. I would guess he's just shy of 6'5 w/o shoes with a 6'7 wingspan. That's not terrible, but when you combine it with his mediocre freshman year and passiveness, not a great prospect.Really hoping Drake Powell comes in and crushes the Combine next week. He's got enough size + length + athleticism + ball skills overall to make plays and beat people, if he's got the disposition to do it.
