Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I can see the argument that Fears has more upside than VJ because of the ball handling/speed with the ball in hand. I think they are similar in terms of vision/passing. VJ just has such a large advantage as a defender that you would have to completely ignore defense to rate Fears higher.

Fears is in a tier above Jase as a playmaker, but I think they are both potentially guys that don't have enough vision/passing to lead an NBA offense, and at that point they are defensively limited combo guards, which we have plenty of already. I'm a little torn because I do feel like Jase and/or Fears could be really good, but I'm just really not excited about that player type.

Fears is a full year younger than a lot of these Freshman. I think he compares well to someone like Shroeder and if he can shoot it better he can be a star. His ballhandling is elite.
for perspective, he's two months younger than ace bailey and two months older than cooper flagg. they are the three youngest american lottery prospects by a fairly significant margin - unless i'm forgetting somebody.

What other channel are you referring to?

Hoops Intellect does a great job of highlighting both strengths and weaknesses, best in the business in my opinion.

Found a channel recently where the guy claims he does some scouting for nba teams. Also talks alot about shot form and says that is his area of expertise. Funny enough, he also claims to have some connections to the Jazz organization in a few of his videos. I found him to be more informative than the standard youtube scouting video.

Jase is two days older than Fears. Maluach is very young too if you're counting him.

Is fears a comparable athlete to VJ?

no. at least not in terms of explosive vertical athleticism, getting on top of the rim type athlete.
I didn't know but figured that would be the case. Watching VJ highlights it seems like he is in the 99th percentile for get up.
I don't want the jazz to draft him but if they did then I would immediately be excited for all the highlights he would provide.
He seems to have that Vince career Carter, Zion Williamson, Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose kind of bounce to him.

I am curious about Kam Jones. I like his size more than many of the projected 1st round PGs. His 3pt% dipped this year and he is a senior. I don't have the problem some people do with seniors (All I need to say is Desmond Bane was a senior) I am thinking early to mid 2nd round. Has anybody watched him?
