Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Leif suggesting running Tre at pg is sort of interesting. Not a true pg but good enough ball handler to benefit from playing down a position.

So underclassmen that are projected to go in the second round per tankathon:

- Thiero, Powell, Proctor, Yanic, RJ Luis

Last year there were 8 underclassmen picked in the second round.
In 2023 there were 11 underclassmen picked in the second round.
In 2022 there were 15 underclassmen picked in the second round.

This is better for the NBA AND college basketball.

Actually Im not sure it's better for the NBA.

The Freshman who arent the perceived upper crust get stuck on benches and not getting a lot of responsibility. Sure, we get to see fringe NBA players for longer in college to decide which edge of the fringe they are on, but knowing who the Freshman are is more important.

But yeah, definitely better for college basketball.

I think what you'll see is that the mid majors will become more attractive to Freshman who want to play right away. The 5 star recruits will continue to go to the big schools, but your 4 star and lower might decide to go to somewhere that they can get playing time.

You are wrong tho. Mid Majors wont be more attractive because NIL is going to keep players in the power conferences.

Meh, I'm OK with an NBA that has fewer 19 year olds. I don't think it is great for the product nor the kids. Most are sent to the G League anyway which is the worst of all the options.

One thing that's surprising aesthetically is how few Jazz fans are hyping up CMB as he's like a perfect clone of Millsap other than... having no jumpshot.

His game is like a 1:1 match other than the one vital skill.

Every move and every trait is exactly the same, it's kind of freaky almost, lol. Especially the absolutely freakish hand speed.

Unfortunately, he's going to suck in the NBA unless he shoots >=36% from three soooooo

Paul Milsap took a total of 20 3 pointers his first 4 years in the league and made 2 of them.

Yeah, that was also 2006-2010 and you can't get away with that in the modern NBA.

If you're a PF who can't shoot, you need to be basically Amen Thompson/Ben Simmons athletic and skilled to be playable and even then, you're probably hurting your team in the postseason.
