Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I think the concerns with Tre are real, but his shot making is a cut above most prospects. Needs to shoot a lot more 3's though.

You called him a pounder and basically referred to him as a one dimensional player. He is not. You said all he was is a scorer I said he wasn’t and referred to an interview. Then you asked for high school stats, then posted them proving my point.
Man you really are lost. I didn't say the majority of those things. Go back and look at the conversation and pay attention to which posters said what and for the things that I said treat my comments as a discussion vs an argument.

I would say Tre is a much better passing/playmaking prospect than Keyonte, and we've seen Keyonte's passing ability grow pretty substantially under Hardy (same for Clarkson).

I have no doubt in my mind we will view Tre (if the Jazz draft him) as a being a great passer in the years to come.

3.1 APG in conference play despite having terrible teammates and a system that isnt conducive to assist. And just watch his passes. He has good vision and is a talented passer.
I don't think that means he's a good passer for an NBA guard, like I don't see that as a strength, just that it's not a weakness.

I've seen the highlights of his passing. If you watch the assists packages on the hardwood hoops videos almost all players have really impressive passes and so I'm a little immune to seeing a couple of nice passes. I need more volume to consider him a good by NBA guard standard at passing

Again, I'm not calling him bad, but I don't think it's a strength.

I think it's a strength.

VJ is basically like a smaller clone of Jalen Williams if he hits.
Lol it’s time to stop scouting these guys based off highlights. I mean he’ll first time I saw VJ highlights I thought I was watching an Ant clone.
I would agree that Tre has the physical tools to be a good defender. I already admitted to overreacting to some really bad moments from games I watched live. If I had to bet I would guess that he will be a bad defender in the NBA, but it's not guaranteed.
One issue is he’s his teams only scorer he expends a ton of energy. Hes started the year off playing good defense. He’s a freshman and probably had more responsibility for his teams only scorer than any other freshman
I think the biggest reason to be down on Tre is that he doesn't really do anything else besides shooting at a high level. Almost every other guard projected in the first round has better rebound, assist, and stocks than him.

I would agree that the combination of limited overall game and poor defense leads to comparisons that aren't fair. There are degrees to these things and he's not as extreme as he can't do anything besides shoot or that he has no chance at being a good defender.
Watch a full game please. He’s more than a shooter and that will bare its self out in the nba. He wasn’t stuck on a ****** team. That’s where all his focus and energy had to be. There’s a reason some college players look much better in the nba compared to college.

I feel like I come off as a Tre hater, but it's more so that I notice more inconsistent standards applied to him. There's a legitimate argument for Tre, but some of the discussion feels more like advocacy than objective analysis. There's always going to be some of that with the draft, but I feel it more with Tre than any other player. Could just be because he's the most discussed player as he is the most likely pick at #5.

Tre will be a good scorer but I think Fears will be a better one in the NBA. Tre is better from 3 but Fears is better at everything inside the arc. Plus more rebounds, more steals, more FTs, higher assist %, and younger. Fears also carried Oklahoma like Tre carried Texas.
