I am sorry, but if the Jazz come away with Maluach or Kon (and I really like Kon) this was a HUGE bust of a season. They will lose a lot of fans if that happens.

Tony Jones went on Yossi Gozlan’s podcast just an hour ago.

Things of note:

- The Jazz would trade Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler for the right offer. Nobody is untouchable.

- Doesn’t see Utah moving up to 3 just because it’s the same tier as pick 5.

- The Jazz could get a haul from the Lakers for Walker Kessler so doing that coupled with drafting Khaman Maluach would be interesting. (speculation not reporting)

- Best case scenario is one of VJ Edgecombe or Tre Johnson being available 5.

assuming tj has actual knowledge of what the jazz are thinking, it sounds like maybe the jazz feel Tre will be off the board by 5.

If Ace slipped I'd consider it but I would hope we land the Milwaukee pick they own and not the Indiana pick they own. I think it will be more of a Herb+7 for 3 and stuff.

Jazz trade back with the Pelicans for the 7th pick and the 2026 and 2027 swap rights with Milwaukee?

Use the Milwaukee swap rights along with the draft capitol the jazz have/just acquired to get Giannis?

i'm not doubting he does know some or even most of the time but i wonder if the jazz are being more tight lipped specifically this go around, drafting at 5, with austin ainge in here playing a bigger role, etc.

ultimately they probably are not being more secretive and he probably does know, just considering the possibility he might not.
