I'm surprised Tre Johnson wouldn't go there, but I can understand he wants touches.

Agents don't want their players there more than anything. Ball is seen as immature and then they got a dude like Bridges. Doesn't help that they had that one first round selection who ended up getting a DUI and is now out of the NBA . It's seen as a place your guy goes and fails due to the environment around him.

Look... I can tell you the Fears stuff is not a smokescreen. Not to go all @bigmike on you... but the have real interest.

Jazz have likely been getting trade-back offers. I think Fears is a guy the Jazz would take if they moved back a couple spots, say with New Orleans. If Kon goes at 4, then Ace, Tre and Fears are probably picks 5-7. Jazz could flip with the Pels, who apparently want Ace. One way or another, the Jazz should get their choice of those three guys--fallout from Kon being a target of Charlotte.

I'm getting that vibe. I think Kon and Fears are in play if the Jazz trade back, but the Jazz didn't just tank their asses off to trade back. If Tre Johnson gets to #5 as well, then things become interesting.

The Jazz's coaching staff is so bad at teaching anyone how to pass that they're an ideal fit for what Ace wants to do and the worst fit for what Ace should be trying to do.

Hardy so far being completely unable to teach any player how to defend or pass should probably inform who we pick at 5 in general, but so far, does not seem to be part of the discussion. Lauri's passing "development" has been... something.
