Following Potential 2026 Draftees

I really don't think anyone is close to Peterson. It's starting to become a clear #1 draft with AJ clear 2 and Boozer a clear 3
Man, I don’t know. Either Peterson is showing signs of a fundamental issue with his legs, or he is pulling **** to sit. Neither is good. I agree he’s the top prospect if he just plays the season straightforward (no injury stuff or whatever).

For better or worse, he is extremely evocative of Raptors/Clippers Kawhi (but at guard) to me.

I can see a team at #1 being just spooked enough to pass. I think AJ is a clear #1 pick in most drafts. I think Caleb Wilson is a more winning player than Boozer (clear as day to me).

Caleb is too theoretical at this point for me to have him over Boozer.

Not to me. If all he is Shawn Kemp with KG’s motor that’s pretty ****ing awesome. If his shot is real/develops he’s an All NBA guy.

I have serious concerns about Boozer defensively at the next level and don’t like the fit here at all. He shouldn’t fall below 4 though.

Im taking Al Horford over Shawn Kemp.

I will need to see more defensively from Wilson. Not that he's a bad defender, but I'm not sure he's an elite defensive prospect. He certainly has elite tools but combined stock % he's only 1.5% better than Boozer.

With Wilson's tools I would expect a block percentage alone to be in the 8% range but it's only at 4.8.

Adam Morrison and Drew Timme lol. How about Domantas Sabonis and Karl Anthony-Towns.

Domantas Sabonis and KAT aren’t winning NBA players and I think the same thing happens with Boozer I think he’s really good I think he may even be an all star some day but I have him fourth on my board because I don’t think he will ever drive winning

KAT has had some decent playoff runs. The difference between him and Sabonis is that KAT can shoot well enough and drive well enough to space the floor and play from the perimeter. KAT's defensive limitations can be overcome by playing him next to long, athletic defenders. (In Minnesota, it was Rudy and McDaniels. In NY, it's Anunoby and Bridges.)

AJ Dybantsa's elite skill is his ability to get where he wants on the floor. From there, it's just a matter of finishing plays. But it's not a given that he'll be a high-level shooter just yet.

Kat made it to the conference finals...

Wow, people seriously underrating Boozer on here.
I would be disappointed with ending up with Cam Boozer. When you watch him he looks like he has less blocks for feet & plays below the rim.

I know he’s really talented but he doesn’t seem all that athletic & I’m not sure how it’ll translate. Reminds me a bit of Jahlil Okafor in that aspect.

Dude getting Boozer is one of our best case scenarios lol.

As the second best player on his team… that’s what I’m trying to get at, I think bookers awesome I just don’t think he’s ever going to be a number 1 option on a winning team and he caps the way you build your team because you need a ton of strong defenders around him I would be super happy if we drafted him I just think he falls closer to the Lauri Markkanen or Domontas Sabonis role than a Jokic or franchise player type of role

This however is a crazy take to be disappointed in taking him I think he’s gonna be a great player I just don’t think he wins a championship as your best player

I mean, any #1 option needs a ton of strong defenders around him. SGA isn't winning rings without a strong defense around him. That's just kind of how you have to build in the NBA.

Here's what I don't understand:

What we're trying to draft this year is a future #1 option on a contending team. A guy who can put a team on his back and make something out of nothing in crunch time.

As long as Lauri has been here, people have been saying "He's great, but he can't be your #1 guy if you're going for a championship". That's probably true... but if Lauri isn't that guy, then Boozer really isn't that guy.

You're deluding yourself if you think Cam is going to be a franchise player in the NBA. He can be a building block sure. But then you have to call it like it is. You're drafting a basic building block in the Top 3.
