Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Is a good comp for Carr going to be like Zach Lavine but you hope he's much better on defense.

I think he could be like Trey Murphy. Elite play finisher type of wing and maybe just okay at making self created shots. Both guys can make the tough buckets, but I don't think that's their main game. Carr looks more agile with and without the ball, but he's not as sure of a shooter as Murphy.

I think he would do well with Hardy and all the cutting.

Carr averages 1.7 blocks per game. I know his DBPM is bad right now, and I'm not sure why because I've never noticed his defense as being bad when I've watched.

I think Brandon Miller might be a good comp for a recent drafted player.
Hmmmm... I can see both of those. Seems maybe more athletic but not as big as Trey. Interesting.

Look if you strike out on top 4 and have like Flemings/Carr and maybe a couple other interesting guys there its a nice consolation prize.

I think Keaton Wagler could be a real possibility outside the top 5. One of the best do it all type offensive players in the draft outside of the top tier talents.

Has played back to back 40 minute games (well 39 in one, but basically 40). For a non-top 100 freshman that's pretty crazy, especially on a team that has a lot of talent. Maybe the closest player to Kon this draft?

Carr has no neck, but his wingspan is very long. I think he plays as big as Trey....and Trey is an underrated athlete. Tre is a dunk contest guy and among non-bigs he's second to only Amen in dunks this year. No perfect comparisons of course, but I think he will be more like Trey in the sense that he will be very low 20's usage guy, but if you ask to do more of the self created shot making he might look more like Shaedon Sharpe.

I haven't watched enough of him to get a good grasp of his defense.

We need to change the discussion to who prefer out of cenac and yesoufou
i thought cenac was better than what he's showing, but honestly, if you want to stand out, houston is often not a great place to showcase oneself. they generally have a lot of veterans, they play at a slower pace, huge emphasis on defense, balanced scoring - just not a lot of opportunities for an elite frosh to stand out. now flemings would be the counter argument, but i think if one were to look back and top frosh prospects at houston, they hard a hard time really standing out.

also, flemings is insane. 15 ppg on 61/52 splits, 69% TS. if you didn't know better you'd think he was a 5th year senior.

defensive stats are so damn unreliable/inexact
Baylor is also a weird team. No center and no PG. They play a bunch of wings and forwards who are mediocre shooters and dont have a deep team at all. Think they are going to be a very bad team in conference play. Would be shocked if they make the Tournament, so Carr might experience a stock drop.

You gave up hope already? I haven’t. I polished my glass ball, let it bathe in moonlight overnight, and in the morning it said, 'The Jazz will get the third pick.” … Didn’t say who we’ll pick, though, but it's all good.

AJ with 23 points (8-14), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals tonight (29 minutes).
Only the 2nd freshman in BYU history (tyler haws) to score over 20 points four games in a row.
Last game he became the second freshman (Danny ainge) in BYU history to score over 200 points in the first 10 games of a career (ainge scored 215. AJ, 209)
