Following Potential 2026 Draftees

I could see the DP stuff going either way. Yes it's odd that he's pulling out of every game, but I think a lot of players would have shut it down already. Without knowing how injured he really is you can't really say much about his mentality. If I was in charge of representing him, I would have shut it down at any hint of serious long term injury.
What about NIL money. These top ranked college players are getting millions from rich boosters and sponsors that are expecting them to win championships. Can money be withheld for players sitting out games for perhaps rest of season?

I’ve been a big Boozer is undisputed #1 guy but man it’s hard for me to keep Dybantsa out of that spot. It’s going to be a fascinating draft.

So the top 6 players in this draft are
Peterson
AJ
Boozer
Wilson
Flemings
Wagler

And then there is a significant drop off... that seem right to everyone?
No there isn't a significant drop-off. Ament is definitely entering that conversation and Acuff is already in it. Arenas and Brown may also enter that range as well.

Huh? Why do you say that?

Why risk NBA career for NCAA career? Playing doesn't help him. If he shut it down, he's the number one pick and doesn't risk a serious injury. Quaintance has already shut it down.

The poor NIL boosters. Let's start a gofundme for them.

Tonight should be a good night for draft prospect watching. I'm traveling for business and should be back to the hotel in time to see most the games. I love my wife and kids, but there is always an unofficial quota for how much sports I can get away with watching while I'm home. When I travel for business it's unlimited, and I also typically have access to the conference networks.

Not sure there's a big drop-off. Ament might be considered to be in the same tier as Wagler and possibly Flemings too if Flemings measures out small in pre-draft. I think positional preference starts to become a factor outside the top 4.

Ament's ceiling is very high due to his size, his ability to shoot off the dribble, plus his feel and playmaking. He routinely shoots and makes passes over the top of defenders, and that's attractive in today's NBA.

You said a lot of players would have shut it down.
Not, I can see why DP would shut it down or makes sense to shut it down. I totally get that take.

Did Flagg shut it down despite knowing he was the guarantee number 1 pick?
Did AD? Zion?
Im just wondering who these players are that would have shut it down.

I guess it wasn't obvious, but I'm implying that if they had injury problems they may have shut it down.
