Following Potential 2026 Draftees

STL% is one of the best indicators, not just for defense but athleticism/IQ all around. That’s could be considered a red flag for Wagler, but Brad Underwood has an extremely conservative defensive system. Kasparas and Riley both suffered from low steal rates but have much higher rates in the NBA.

To further the argument about the better fit between Wagler or Flemings. Overall, I would be thrilled for both. A lot of talk is about who is the better fit with Key. That’s fine, but have to take into account more than just those 2 and their fit and assess the whole picture. I really like flemings, he seems like a similar difference maker with his speed, like collier but with better shooting and decision making and better defense. I think he sets up the rest of our team quite well. I don’t see quite the same level of play making for teammates in wagler (still good), but he is a special talent and can add another spacing component and scoring option. Wagler could be the better pairing with Keyonte but the whole team, not so fast :) Not sure can go wrong with either but I think they provide benefits in different ways to future lineups. Hope we get one
The more I watch Wagler the more I'm seeing Steph Curry with the way he moves and creates space. With nba spacing he is going to kill it.

And honestly if collier continues to improve on his deficiencies, we arguably already have a player like Flemings. I feel a lot of my draft decision would depend on colliers ongoing improvement. Wagler is just so crafty. I do feel he is more on ball than curry, but they have similar impact levels for their prospective college teams. Both super fun to watch right now
