What's new

Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

I've scouted this class some, but not a ton yet. Trading out might be the move this year tbh. It seems like the weakest class in years.

Was absolutely blown away by Zion last night. And I've watched every game this year- he shouldn't still be doing things that make me smh. Dude is just crazy.

And I'd still be just fine with Kyle Guy in rd 2. Besides being a great shooter who can get his shot off, he's actually legit good at basketball.

I think there are 20+ guys worth drafting in the first round. Someone good could fall to us.

If I had to pick a player right now I think I am leaning towards Darius bazley. I think he is the home run strike out pick the jazz need.

Sure he could be a complete waste of a pick but he could also develop into the 3rd star to the roster.

Bazley will probably go in the 40s range unless something dramatic happens at the Combine or in workouts. He does have some star potential.

I like Konate in the mid 2nd round. He's a small-ball 5 who can switch a bit on the perimeter. He can overpower skinnier bigs.

Goga Bitadze is a traditional European big, but he's really good. He has moves in the post a bit similar to Enes Kanter, but he's more skilled overall. He protects the rim, passes the ball with vision and timing, and can shoot out to 20 feet. He moves really well for a guy his size and could develop into a high-post/low-post cog like a Marc Gasol. If he can extend his shooting range, he's a star.

How about Louis King instead. He's a 6'9" long thoroughbred athlete, a 2-way player who can shoot 3s, put the ball down and get to the rim or make a play with the pass. He can guard 2 or 3 positions. Right now he's 205 lbs, but he can add 12 - 15 lbs pretty easily. Look at the side-step, cross-over and drive from the 3-pt line starting at 0:30. One dribble and two steps from the 3-pt line to the rim.
