Watch Grant Williams try to post up Darius Bazely at 1:12 in this video. This is what I mean by Williams struggling against NBA length. Isaiah Roby actually looked better than Williams in the Combine scrimmages.
The other thing ESPN's mock is showing is that Naz Reid might be plummeting. Dude isn't in shape and doesn't have much going for him on the defensive end. I bet he got his *** kicked in our workout going against Claxton and Kab.
He was rated highly before that. You can't get hype credit for picking a top 10 HS recruitBrown was considered one of our main draft targets at 21 until about 10 days before the draft. People were saying that Washington taking him at #15 was a reach. You were the other guy that picked up on him, if I'm remembering.
ESPN has been really high on Kabangele for a long time. I totally forgot that he's Mutumbo's nephew.
I know there's supposed to be one giant tier of players in a certain range, but I think this is the highest I have seen Tyler Herro.
I'm not really a fan of Keldon Johnson either. An "insider" on another forum said the Jazz love Grant Williams and want to draft him. Take that with a huge grain of salt though lol.
I'm anxious to see Jazzfanz favorite players and draft predictions this year. It feels like many folks have already written off the pick, figuring it will be traded I guess.
Lol wut? Great body?We should go after Reid. Let Quin turn him into a pro. He is very naturally gifted and has a great NBA body. He's a boom or bust guy but **** going with a safe pick.
Why do the Jazz have to match salaries? They have cap room. Can't they just agree to a trade in principle and do it in the off season?I’m not sure why people think that... what are we trading it for? Remember we have to match salaries in a deal. I don’t see us just deferring and trading for a pick in another draft... our salary matching players that we could trade on draft night don’t make a lot of sense to move with the pick... unless it’s for a higher pick.
No, he's PJ TuckerI'm asking seriously - is there a bit of Draymond Green to Grant Williams? Both had very successful college careers and were loved by their teammates and coaching staffs. Both seemed like pretty well rounded players. If Williams is a Draymond type, wouldn't that fit us pretty well? I really want to know what y'all think:
Draymond Green Combine
6'7.5" with shoes
235 lbs
7'1" wingspan
8'10" standing reach
11.3% body fat
Grant Williams Combine
6'7.5" with shoes
240 lbs
6'10" wingspan
8'8.5" standing reach
5.4% body fat
Draymond had a reputation for being unathletic. He also had a reputation for being good at everything but great at nothing. He dropped to #35.
