Following Potential Draftees - 2019 (not kidding)

^^ posts like that are why Cy has me on ignore. He cant face the facts that i'm pumping this forum full of pertinent basketball-related info..

he's too busy caught in a web of semantics

LOL. Of all these players and comparisons we discuss, Fox v. Ball, will probably always be my all-time favorite... Because it encompasses so much of the BS involved with these sorta stories...

I have a friend who's a lakers fan and I texted him the morning of that draft, "Today will live in infamy. You and all Lakers fans will roo the day the Lakers passed on De'Aaron Fox for Lonzo Ball."

Ya know what his response was that day;

"De'aaron Fox can't shoot!"

The detail about Magic Johnson wanting Fox over Ball is just the cherry on top too LOLOLOLOL.

Lakers problem wasn't passing on Fox for Ball but passing on Tatum for Ball. Tatum could of had Kobe around him all the time. Tatum had a good a rookie series over Lebron. Lebron, Tatum,Ingram,Kuzma is a Heck of a 4

LMAO NBADRAFT HAS KAMBENGELE going 10th!!!

The fact you think Leonard Hamilton is a good coach makes me question all you have to say. He is more recruiter then coach. He does find some good players but they never win much. No final fours or elite 8s.wonder what you thought of Jokic during his class.

U will find nothing but spectacular bumps, way ahead of the consensus, from me on him back in the day... I was definitely posting about him as a RS Freshman...

I always told u guys I will be more accurate with the bigs and I was a huge Siakam fan, Capela, Rudy... this kid.Got quite a few hits on falling 1st rd bigs -- I'm really high on Harry Giles still too, he just needs to stop fouling. I believe in Skal still too, much more than Thon Maker at least.

PPL dont even remember this but when Kambengele first showed up they listed him at 6'9" and 250lbs.... AND at SF......) so I picked up onthis immedieatly, he was a canadian import, had lots of signs of a 'sleeper' overlooked to me... I posted bout him here tho and also FSU has been crushing expectations, i've been on the leonard hamilton FSU bandwagon for years, I've always said i like their recruiting strategy..

I didnt even know he was related to Moutoumbo til this season started and they said it on some broadcast..

Tony Jones is doing a Q&A on The Athletic right now. Here's some of the questions people had about the draft and offseason.

Q: Do you think the jazz will be able to get Keldon Johnson in for a workout? Do they like him?
A: They like him, and have been trying to get him in

I feel like Tobias number one option is Brooklyn and the jazz second do yo agree?
Agree. That's pretty accurate

In your opinion, who will be the most likely free agent acquisition this off-season?
The Jazz have the best chance at Tobias Harris

Do you like the jazz chances with D’Angelo Russell if he becomes an unrestricted free agent?
I think they have a chance. I don't think they would be favorites, but I think they would be one of the teams with a real shot at signing him

Has there been a player that stood out in the workouts? you know a wow workout
Carsen Edwards from Purdue has gotten some buzz for his workout

What do you hear on Dante? Will he be able to build his game this off-season?
Dante is working out and getting ready for next year. He's working towards being completely healthy for training camp

Have the jazz zeroed in on a couple of drafts prospects they really like or is it too early to tell?
Still a bit too early to tell. No. 23 is such a wildcard spot. Also, don't be shocked if the Jazz move the pick

Is Mike Connelly a realistic get for the Jazz? I feel like there was some buzz and now I'm not hearing anything now
It will be more difficult to match numbers than in February, but it's still a realistic trade possibility

Give us one or two names that you don't think anybody has been talking about, who might be a fit for the Jazz, whether free agents or trade scenarios.
Tevor Ariza. Great defender and shooter who could help the Jazz a ton

Do the Jazz see much value in the 53rd pick, or will they likely trade it for cash (as they have done in the past)?
Not sure if they like someone with 53. Hard to get a good player that deep

Who some guys the jazz could target with there second round pick if they keep it
53 is such a crapshoot that it's hard to pinpoint who will be there. Louis King, Weatherspoon, those are a few of the guys who may be available

If the jazz strick out on tobi kemba and russ. What is the next group of FA they will look at?
There are a bunch of contingency's in place, some of which will be dictated by the market. The Jazz are trying to find someone who truly helps. I don't think they are looking to spend money just to say they did.

Do you think Brian Bowen II would be a good second round target for the Jazz? They seem to like him. I think he could be a good developmental project for any team
Agree. I do, if he falls that far

Is you had to rank Tobias, Russell, Kemba, Conley from most realistic to non realistic how would you rank them?
They are all realistic. The Jazz have a decent shot at every one of them

On ESPN, Tony Jones is saying Carsen Edwards, Mfiondu Kabengele, Terence Davis worked out well for the Jazz. Ty Jerome as well.

No mention of the wings Okpala, Dylan Windler. Windler is doing a second workout for Boston.

Brooklyn will get two max guys, just a question of who.

I really like what the Hawks are doing in building assets. Crabbe’s contract sucks but it’s only for a year.
