Forget the poll - Jazz just DID sign Raja Bell

WTF jazz? when i saw that we got raja bell all i could do was laugh. adding bell will certainly make us better no doubt. i see this as like a fisher addition from golden state few years ago and with a veteran like him we went to the WCF that year. but let me explain why i dont like this move. dont get me wrong, i LOVE raja as a player and i do believe he could be how fisher was to the jazz, but i would not sign the guy 3 years 10 mil contract when he is 34. we gave him too much money. if he was 32 and had a somewhat of a impact season the season before, i would be all in for it. we had more options out there we could look at, like SHANNON BROWN. i think signing brown would have been superior deal than signing 34 years old raja bell for the same money. i do however, think that if shannon brown is out of the question, this is the best signing out there as of now. who knows, jazz might sign raja AND brown (this would be dream come true)

Im hoping he punches Kobe in the face if we play them again in playoffs.

That makes two of us. **** you Kobe and **** you Lakers.

I dont give 2 ***** what Raja does during his time with the Jazz I just want him to piss off Kobe every time we play. I hope we resign Harpring to a 10 day contract next time we play Lakers so him and Raja can go out and piss the whole team off.

I like Brewer, but I'd rather have Bell.
Raja can hit a jumper, and play tough D.

Good move KOC.

Also, credit now to Greg Miller for once. He said we needed to get tougher, and we just did with AL and Raja over Boozer and Korver.

Wow!!!! I'm the anti-tatermoog i guess. Raja is EXACTLY the player we need becuase of his AGE. The slew of 23-25 year olds need this guy on the team. He is being paid over the next three years to be at practice, on the bench, in the locker room, and on the plane, and on the bus and oh ya for some of his efforts on the floor during games.

This is the RIGHT move. I like Wes alot and said early on that he is Raja Bell in the making, but he's not Raja yet (could be in a few years.)

This is the "we are going for a 3 year run to see what this group does" plan.

If AK is great, we keep him after Feb, if AK is OK we dump him for anohter potential peice of the puzzle. KOC is working through that RIGHT NOW.

I'm stoked!!!

Wow - didn't see this coming! He may be 'old', but the guy is a good defender and can shoot. This is pretty great. And we got him rather cheap, considering his strengths and prior contracts. Plus he's going to clothes-line Kobe again, and moments later, AJ will step on Kobe's neck. And Morrison will watch this unfold from the bench...

*stand up applause for O'Connor. ******* brilliant move. Bell is a proven, veteran version of Matthews, but 24 million dollars cheaper. +40% 3point shooter, 80% FT shooter, feared defender. O'Connor has effectively filled 3 of our 4 greatest needs in the last week in what looked like a lost offseason. Amazing job O'Connor. You have redeemed thyself.

I have not been a fan of Rip Van O'Conner for many years. Looks like he woke up just in time. I am loving the moves so far. The Jazz needed some nasty in your face type players and we just added two of them! I went from not being excited at all to looking forward to the new season. We will not be a team to be intimitated now. :)

for people worrying about Raja's age. Yes he is up there in age but minute wise he still has moderately fresh legs.

Great move.

He gives us the veteran leadership and toughness that we've been lacking. Brewer though more talented, is softer than tissue paper.
