One of my favorite occurances here at Jazzfanz is when one poster refers to another as "guy", "buddy", "pal", "chief", etc.

It's so condescending you can almost taste it!

If you'd shut your mouth and listen for two minutes... See, son, this all goes back to a great moment where Beantown and Dutchjazzer went back and forth with the guy and buddy bit. Archie, worshiping the two as he does, saw his opportunity for coolness and has ran with it ever since. He thinks he's as cool as beaner now. Can't you just let the kid have this one thing.

So there you have it, ummkay, guy?
