What's new

FREE AGENCY begins Nov. 20th?

Conley and #23 for Fournier and Gordon? The money is almost exactly even.

For Orlando, they shed Gordon's deal and get a pick.

For us, we add some depth. Fournier is a great shooter and Rudy's buddy. Gordon could become good, but that not happening in Orlando.

Gordon’s on a good deal even if he never improves. We’d need to give more. I think if you took Ross and Gordon you’d be closer.

Unless we trade Conley I highly doubt we see any real movement for a little while. I wonder what the plans with Niang and Bradley are?
To keep them and have them do exactly what they've been doing. Nothing is changing.

Orlando just re-signed Ross on a long extension last summer, and I'm not a big fan of that deal at all either.

Maybe we would do Gordon and Aminu. If Orlando was doing this as a salary dump, this would be a wise deal. It saves them $26 million for 21-22. I wonder if we even give up a pick in this scenario.

We have to add some value to the deal imo... Aminu's deal is no bueno either but Ross' deal is worse and thus they would see more value in getting off the money.

I really think they could do much better than our offer either way. He'd be a good target... we don't have the juice though.

Ross's deal is great.

There may be stuff that springs loose that makes sense for Mike. The CP deal is one to watch... if he goes to Phoenix then OKC may not have a burning desire to keep Oubre and Ricky... if he goes to the Lakers then OKC will want to re-route Green somewhere for assets.

There will be opportunities but everything I have read from Tony Jones and others is that we running this **** back while adding our pick and maybe using the MLE... and that's about it. Doesn't mean we can't speculate about things though.

Jazz should do that instead of signing Clarkson then cuz he's way better than Clarkson.
I'd consider it... would rebalance the roster a bit too. Depends on the price for JC. I am really worried after listening to Tony Jones on various pods that we overpay him.

I'd love to get him at 4/40 but my walk away number is like 4/48. He won't get more than MLE... no need to overpay him just because. If we pivoted and added Ross for Ed and TB contracts (its close enough) we could mix Mike in more with bench units as a ball handling scorer and have Ross as the wing gunner. He can't be much worse on defense than JC... I think he average... which would help.

There's no way they are trading Ross for that

I hope they trade Tony. I have no problem with Niang staying on the roster, he should just have much smaller role.

I would play Aaron Gordon at the 4 and backup 5 spot. Very athletic on both ends of the court. I think Orlando needs to save the cash because the are a small market and traditionally they have hated to spend.

Hard for me to see why ORL would think this return is desirable.

I think I prefer fantasizing there’s anything on it.

I’d love to sign Dunn. Curious what he’s gonna get on the open market.

I'll bet he gets 5-8M a year. I think on a good team he's a 15-20 minute a night guy. No idea why they wouldn't just give him a QO unless he isn't healthy. They don't have cap space. If he accepts the QO you could move him during the season... you could also leverage his restricted rights in a sign and trade. Really goofy.
