Nice, you completely ignored what I was responding to which was this from Cy: "I wouldn't say Sap is a long-term D-Leaguer. " I kinda think that if a guy has been a D-leaguer for 5 years, his entire pro career, then he is a long-term D-leaguer but maybe I am stupid about that.

He plays great D, no doubt and love that about him. But there is a reason he has been a 5 year D-leaguer only, and its his offense and his shooting. At the age of 27 with 5 years to improve it is not likely he will get much better on those. Maybe, but not likely. That said, I am okay with him on the team. Just saying that it is impressive how we are owning some really good teams despite guys with glaring flaws like him, Joe, Dante, and Trey.

Evans is a fine end of the bench kind of guy though. He hasn't had a chance this year. Remember last year? Perfectly acceptable 4th big.

LOL - Millsap is the oldest player on the team now.

He's basically Ronnie Brewer without the talent he had surrounding him to make up for his offensive deficiencies.

Like his defense - plays hard, can guard 3 positions. But, also like Brewer, it seems very easy to get him out of position.

All in all, not a bad guy for a D-Leaguer. Jazz can do a lot worse. God knows they have. But I wouldn't expect much more than what we're seeing right now.

I generally agree, but he can get better by knowing his spots within the orchestra of the offense. In other words, knowing when/where to shoot, crisper passing, and knowing his limitations as a ball handler. I think his 3pt % could tick up a percentage or two, probably as a result of this.

The game will also slow down a little bit for him, which could very easily make him a slightly better defender than he currently is (which is already amongst the very best on the team (perimeter wise)).

Depends how you define end of the bench. If he's 4th big he's not deep end of the bench for me. Before the Kanter trade our 4th big was Booker who was getting 18 minutes per game...

The refs really don't do him any favors with his drives either. I thought he got fouled twice going to teh rim with no calls.

Yeah. The fact he's Hayward's best friend has some significance. Not sure it has million dollar+ significance, but we'll see.
