What's new

Friday Nov. 19 7 pm MST: Spurs @ Jazz - Irreconcilable Differences

We haven't played that great at home yet. It would be nice to get a big win tonight against a team that's playing well.
I was really up for the Suns and Thunder games only to be let down by the performance. Please come through tonight Jazz.

Jazz a 2.5 point favorite in Vegas.

Could be a close one; The Red Rocket (tm) has definitely scorched us in the past (I think he has his career high against us). If their 3pt shooting is fairly well negated (say, they shoot less than 35%) I'd say we have a decent chance to come away with the W.

Go Jazz!

If u had the misfortune if paying for a ticket to go to this game go to the box office now and DEMAND a refund!!!!!!!this effort is freaking pathetic!!!

Offensive Rebounds. Hopefully when Memo gets back he can help with that. Maybe for now throw Fes into the game.

During the 2009 regular season, Okur averaged less than 2 offensive rebounds per 30 minutes.

Which was, of course, less than Boozer, Fesenko, Koufos, and Millsap.

The lineup of DW, Bell/Price, Miles, Millsap, and Elson brings Utah from a 6 point deficit to a 2 point deficit.

At the end of the third quarter, Jefferson -10 and Elson +10. Not a precise measure, but when you have that kind of differential, it tells you something. Unfortunately, CJ is chucking and missing.

I want to see DW-Miles-AK-PM-Elson/Fes. Not gonna happen--again. Jefferson has come back in, even though he doesn't deserve to play with the poor rebounding performance in the third quarter. Sloan (and evidently his clone Phil Johnson) has a nasty habit of just going with tradition and not analyzing what combos are really working. I think that they call such analysis in-game strategy.

I was talking about offensive rebounds allowed. Sorry for the confusion.

Still applies. A defensive rebound results in preventing an offensive rebound. Okur averaged a mere 5.3 defensive rebounds per 30 last season. This season, Elson is averaging 8.5. The answer is to play more of the centers, just like I've said all along. But this coaching staff refuses to analyze.

Confounded Al Geofferson continues to blow.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum continue to bench Fes despite his worth.

And something something.

This team sucks. But hey, future wins in Boston and Chicago will mean something, despite losing every meaningful game against Western powerhouses from now until May.
