Is this dude serious about playing the nba? If so what is his and the Jazz’s time table for him coming over?
I expect atleast 1 of the seconds if not both be used on draft and stash players. I would be surprised if there is more than 2 rookies on the roster next year. I could see some of the seconds signed to 2 way contracts. He better be very good cause Jazz are stockpiling a lot of good young players
Jazz might have 4 draft picks this year If all 4 are very good there may be no roster spot for Procida
Also Oscar T may deserve a roster spot He's a rebounding monster that every team needs
2nd round picks will likely be draft or stash or 2-way prospects. They won’t crack the top 15 of the roster.I expect atleast 1 of the seconds if not both be used on draft and stash players. I could also see the minny pick traded away for a future pick with mild protections.
I could also see the pick used to move up some if a player starts to drop.
Players that could be cut or leave
Collins has a PO - i am tossed if he will pick it up or not. He could get a decent contract but some pundits are saying teams may not spend big this summer.
Martin- says his contract is not guaranteed for next season.
Svi - non-guaranteed
Juzang - non-guaranteed
Potter - not sure but think he hit the max 2way contracts.
That is 3 players that could be cut to make room for players.
Some of the same thoughts I am having. I missed springer.2nd round picks will likely be draft or stash or 2-way prospects. They won’t crack the top 15 of the roster.
I’d be very surprised if John Collins opts out, but it’s possible. If he does, I hope the Jazz let him walk. Nice guy and a solid player, but they shouldn’t double down on his next contract. If he opts in, I’m trading him and Sexton together in a consolidation trade somewhere.
I think Juzang sticks around, but I’d be shocked if the Jazz keep Martin, Svi or Springer.
I think there’s about a 50/59 chance that Lauri gets traded this offseason, depending on what other deals are out there. Personally, I’m fine keeping him and seeing how he does when the Jazz decide to stop tanking.
Clarkson probably can’t be traded, so they shouldn’t double down just let him expire and move on. Maybe gets a shot to join a contender to finish his career.
Jazz come back next year featuring their top 5 rookie, Kessler, Markkanen and then let the other young guys compete to fill out the available roles in the rotation. Let the competition dictate who plays.
I am NOT a Juzang fan and hope he is gone. Svi is a waste of a roster spot. Would rather have that spot for development.2nd round picks will likely be draft or stash or 2-way prospects. They won’t crack the top 15 of the roster.

Agreed on Svi- Juzang it depends on other options- he earns what he makes but his ceiling is pretty much where he is already at, so if we’re still in developmental mode, it may be time to say goodbye.I am NOT a Juzang fan and hope he is gone. Svi is a waste of a roster spot. Would rather have that spot for development.

This is really confusing to me. Juzang is the quintessential glue guy every contending team needs, and the perfect guy to stabilize a roster for a team in rebuild mode.I am NOT a Juzang fan and hope he is gone. Svi is a waste of a roster spot. Would rather have that spot for development.
We can agree to disagree.Juzang is good
Johnny is great for his price: always plays within himself, executes exactly what his coach wants, and never complains about his minutes... And he is only 24.Juzang is good
He's only playing 20mpg this season, as he's an emerging young player and the team shares minutes (he's 6th on the team). Alba Berlin are also really bad (for EL).I was doing some interwebs surfing and came upon GP's Euroleague numbers this season and they are quite modest. Matty Ice is having a better statistical year. GP's three point percentage is awful. He is averaging 9.7 ppg and puts him in the neighborhood of Juancho, Trent Forrest, Luka S and Yurt7. All of the Jazz alums have a better three point percentage. Interestingly Bolomboy is the leading rebounder in the league and shoots a better three point percentage than GP. Former Stars player and Celtic Carsen Edwards is the 2nd leading scorer in the league. My take is GP ain't the savior.
This kid doesn’t figure in. At all.Let’s say this guy comes over next year and joins us. And we get Flagg and he’s what we all think he is. And Collier and Kessler and George all take half leaps…and Lauri returns to form from 2022-2023.
How good could we be? Could we be a play-in team?

What’s not to love about him?? I mean he’s a very good shooter, he’s reliable defender, and plays with in himself, and doesn’t do too much. The jazz issue over the years is they load up on too many ball stoppers. This dude is a mover we need more of that.
I believe it becomes two 2nd round picks.Looking for help regarding pick owed to OKC. If Utah does not convey the 2026 pick to OKC (Jazz are back in the 1-8 range), what happens to the pick owed?
Im like 90% sure it just extinguishes and they get nothing.I believe it becomes two 2nd round picks.
The Utah Jazz owe the Oklahoma City Thunder their 2025 first-round draft pick, which is top-10 protected. This pick was part of a trade in 2021 where the Jazz sent Derrick Favors to the Thunder in exchange for a future second-round pick. The protection on the pick will become top-8 protected in 2026, and if it doesn't convey by then, Utah will owe OKC their 2028 second-round pick.I believe it becomes two 2nd round picks.
