Which makes this game even more dangerous.

I remember a few years back when a completely depleted Lakers team destroyed us.

I also remember the jazz in a dead heat for the playoffs losing b2b games against the tpuppies.

Until this Jazz team proves that they can win on the road against just barely decent teams, I'll be skeptical even (especially) if opponents' players are out.

So far the Jazz over the last few years have proven that they can play with a lot of energy at home... While also laying complete dumpers on the road...

Which Jazz team is going to show up? Who knows?

No Kobe and Bynum = Less Dangerous.

Definitely Bynum. He's out the first five games because of his pushing of Barea in the playoffs. Kobe should be out but he could go all Black Mamba and decide to play through the pain. I doubt it though. The ligaments need to heal properly and last I heard, he'll miss a few weeks. Start Jefferson on Gasol and if he gets a foul, switch to Favors on him. These two, along with Kanter or Okur a little, should do a good job. Start Millsap at the 3 on Artest and we're fine imo. We should win. I'm not so confident we will.

Road game= Very loseable. Will the typically slow and intimidated Jazz road team show up in LA? Or will the fearless team that upset them towards the end of last year show up? Who knows? I doubt even Ty Corbin knows...

This team has proven that they can lose to anyone on the road... Yes, to even the Washington Generals...

what you fail to notice is that your platitude "this team..." doesn't make any sense. Whatever this team is, it is very different from what it was, and, as a unit, is without sufficient data to make these conclusions.

Road game = tough game? Sure
This team = underdog with plenty to prove = dangerous? Yes
Lakers in chaos? yes.

Jazz win? Yes.
 
This thread sucks. no offense but dont start anymore gameday threads. I love looking at the gameday threads when done properly. i dont know how to put pictures and graphics and stuff like that on here either..... that is why i dont make gameday threads.

Just leave the gameday threads to the professionals and post throughout the thread with your comment.
this is the first game of an exciting new year and we get this crappy gameday thread. Sheesh
 
not to mention this chitown sucka wants the new coach fired before his team has even played a season-opening regular season game! what a hack!
