first off CJ, Feliz Navidad! And second, if the Jazz lose this game... Then this team must have failed horridly. Our own fans put that bad of faith in this team? By a b2b2b, I wouldn't be surprised if Josh Howard can score 25 points in this game if you started him.
 
Still saying we beat them. 3rd game of a back-to-back-to-back will have everyone on LA exhausted. We just have to bring energy and play hard.
 
As a young team we could come out smoking hot not knowing any better, that it's the first game of the season, against the lakers and Kobe on the road. On the other hand, as a young team, they could be way in over their heads make young team mistakes dig a hole and be completely overwhelmed. This game will depend on how well Millsap Harris and Jefferson play. If they play well Jazz win
 
I think that the game depends most heavily on defending Gasol (think Favors, Jefferson, or Kanter) and slowing down Kobe (think a Hayward encore and maybe some psychological activity by Bell and then some unsuspected frustration from Burks).

Ebanks and McRoberts make for a tall 3-4 combination for the Lakers; I'm not sure that this is the time to try Millsap against them for very long (although those players are young); better for him to match up against Metta. I think that you want Hayward and Bell starting on the wing, with Bell on a short leash, and Burks coming in to annoy (and to receive a short lesson from) KB32.
 
One thing everyone has overlooked so far, is that the Lakers are going to be Jimmered the night before they play the Jazz. Can one recover from a Jimmering in 24 hours? I doubt it. They will still be reeling when they report to ESA. Easy win for the Jazz.

According to Yahoo sports Jimmer's points will count for us so we should already have a nice 20 point cushion. Jazz win.
 
Jazz have a big advantage in the post. All they have to do is feed Al and Sap all night. Gasol can't guard them both. Harris is the better guard so that will help big. I think it will be a close game because it's in LA but Jazz come home with a win and LA goes 0-3 to start their season.
 
There is a marginal difference between two teams levels, but they will be tired after 3rd consequtive game, so i think the chances are equal. I dont think there will be too much tactical complexity in this game, if we defend well, play hard and dont enter 4th quarter with worse than 10 deficit, we can win.
