Game 31--Jazz at Houston. (allegedly)

The ****ing NBA in a nutshell. I stopped watching the game after the 3rd quarter. The game was tied then the following happened:

Harden runs full stop into Gobert and they give him a 3 point play
Harden runs by Crowder, who doesn't touch him, 3 point play
Harden hits a travel jump back 3
Gobert gets fouled down low, no call, PJ Tucker with the wide open corner 3
Quin gets a tech

I turned it off. I'm not shocked to see the result. Or Harden getting 16 free throws. Or Harden getting away with a 5 step travel going backwards.

The NBA man....

Yep. And Malone was a big man in a day when people actually posted up. And there were a lot of times they just fouled him instead of letting him get straight to the basket.

Nobody tries to foul Harden. He has to draw every foul which makes his ratios that much more nauseating.

I remember him and Buck Williams was basically a steel cage wrestling match. Either guy could have fouled out in the first quarter.

Officials were uneven but this... Rudy blew a layup and 4 straight free throws missed to start the fourth from dm and ingles... were killer.

Also... why doesn’t Harden get techs? He slapped the ball out of Rudy hand on a dead ball which was a tech... then shoved Rudy as he’s trying to give him the “chill bruh” pat in the back. Like WTF... also I wanted them to review that and see that he grabbed at his stomach and there was zero extra bs.

I've never seen a player more catered to in the NBA than James Harden. Maybe MJ.

I've watched that travel a couple times this morning, and it just infuriates me that the NBA allows that to happen. If they can use replay to see if a ball barely grazes a finger, why can't they say, yep, travel before the foul - Utah ball?

I'm not certain why more players don't take hard fouls on Harden. He's getting the call, so put him on his arse five or six times a game. Maybe it would make him think a little before pulling his antics!

News flash: Most of the fouls against Harden are actually fouls. Most of the times fans think Harden is traveling, he is not (one notable exception on blown call yesterday). Most fans do not remotely understand the traveling rules.

There was another guy who knew exactly how to exploit the rules and draw fouls in underhanded ways. His last name was Stockton.
