Game #7: Grizzlies at Jazz, Friday 01/06/2012 7:00 MST

Should be a win. They're without big Z, who's about 90 % of their offense.

In all of Kanter's games (I've seen most of them including the FIBA ones this summer) he almost always dunks with two hands. I don't know if he feels uncomfortable dunking with one hand or what, but it seems that dunking over someone normally requires one hand. Hopefully, he will figure this out. Look at the little move he does here at 1:10; he dunks with absolute ease and without effort and looks really agile. He doesn't look 6'11'', 268 at all with how fluid he moves. Kanter also has big hands; much bigger than Derrick Favor's and even Al's, I think (Draft Express). He should use this more as well.

That is on the move, with no one around him, in a layup line. Big difference than playing in a game when you get the rebound and have to go right back without a lot of time to gather yourself. I don't know if he has the athletic confidence or ability to do that with bodies around him.

I think we've already established the doubt about his lift. I don't see the point of saying it over and over. We've seen him have problems finishing in games. The question then becomes why. Is he physically unable to do this? Is it confidence? Is it comfort? Is it habit? Is it training? Is it effort? Also, can he not take a single step before he really proves he can get some lift, or must he be at a dead stop (most players take a step)? The fact of the matter is that he has shown in many clips that he has capable standing lift and that when he has one or more steps he has pretty good lift. He hasn't shown a lot of explosion (he's not Shawn Kemp). There is an inconsistency between game time and practice (PKM noticed this as well). Hence the questions. If he can sometimes, then why not always? Here are some examples most people have already seen to remember this (also spinning and dunking like he does in the clip above is not easy; it's not like running directly to the hoop). I understand your skepticism, but it makes more sense to try to account for it rather than saying the same thing over and over.

First off bluesrocker you have never done anything to me personally and this is not an attack against you so you dont need to attack me back.
Maybe if people are always attacking you when you post stuff, then maybe you are posting just so people will attack you (kind of like a troll).
Just sayin that if everyone is giving you a hard time, then maybe there is a reason that is happening and i might not be everyone else in the wrong but in fact it could be you pushing peoples buttons.

I wish BluesRocker would leave his fighting for after school by the flagpole.

Kanter hadn't played real ball in 1 1/2 years. Give him a break.
