Game Of Thrones

https://heavy.com/entertainment/2019/04/who-died-game-of-thrones-season-8-episode-3-deaths/

The confirmed death count is:

  • Lyanna (we saw her turn into a wight)
  • Jorah (he died protecting Dany)
  • Melisandre
  • Theon
  • Beric
  • Edd Tollett
  • Night King
  • White Walkers
  • Ice Viserion
  • Hordes of Dothraki, Unsullied and many others
I can say with certainty that the two dragons, Rhaegal and Drogon, survived. And Ghost also survived and was seen in the trailer.

This is a developing story. I will update if more deaths are confirmed.

What a dumb battle plan. Yeah let's just hand a few hundred dothraki to the army of the dead. Oh yeah and let's use our best weapon after the dothraki are all dead. And let's not light the trench until we've lost half the army.

Again, the entire field should have been soaked in wildfire. There's no point fighting a chaotic hoard of zombies with swords. They just pile up 10 bodies deep. It's like World War Z.

And why did the dragons either just fly around or sit in the wall instead of actively incinerating the dead. Especially after the trench was lit and the army of the dead was just standing there.

My biggest complaint is that we never really got to understand what the Knight King wanted, or why he wanted it. Was he really just a two-dimensional ultra villain?

How was he supposed to help the Children of the Forest? Wouldn't he have killed all of them, too? Why did they make him?

And we still didn't get a very good explanation of the body-part art the Knight King was so fond of.

Yeah that point right after the trench was lit you could have come from behind them and decimated them.

The whole use of the dragons in this episode was a pretty big letdown. A few fun scenes of them torching the wights, but to no major effect. When they were dog-fighting the ice dragon I didn't see them use fire once. WTF?

I thought this as well. Instead of bitting it’s neck after latching on it should have BBQed it’s face

They were looking after their Targaryan captains. Plus their job was to provide air support.

Exactly. They even hit him from the side, where they could have easily incinerated him and the dragon.
