They didn't give the viewers any reason to believe he would be a realistic choice. I can see him ending up on the throne in the books maybe, but he'll have to prove some worth, or at least relevance to the other lords of the kingdom for it to make sense.
I don't know that that's been established. All he did was sit in a chair and creep everyone out.

Nah man, think about it. Who better to be king than the guy who knows all, sees all? Plus he is merciful, as evidenced by him not outing Jaime at Winterfell when he had the chance. Makes perfect sense to me.
Yeah they could have used more time. But on the other hand, the cast and crew needed to move on. A forty year old Arya would not have been believable...I exaggerate... but you get the point.
