What's new

Game thread: jazz play a game in a couple of hours, the Timberpups edition.

We can laugh now, but if the T'wolves add Towns or Okafior to Wiggins, we might be regretting it for a long time.

Jazz are now tied with the Pacers for 7th/8th in the lottery, dangerously close to 9th or 10th.

The good news is that Trey Burke may slowly be accumulating some trade value.

Wiggins is a longer Corey Brewer.

I think this perpetual draft talk is indicative of a loser mentality. Obviously we're not the Bulls of the 90's right now, but at some point, you have to live in the present and be happy with what you have. Many a philosophical sage has expressed the idea of living in the present. You can't predict where you're going to land; you play like a winner and let the dice determine the rest.

He's a very good player but see we're not winning a title with GH as our #1 option. Now don't take it personal but sometimes I think if you're his mom.

Pacers did pretty well with George as their #1 option. The Young Jazz nucleus should project out to be a better supporting cast. Hayward has certainty shut the "He will be the third best option on a contender" people up. That opinion was pretty common at the beginning of the year.

In order for the Jazz to be a better team, they need a player to surpass Hayward as a #1 option. That probably has to be done at the top of the lottery.

We have 3 bigs who are good, but not great.

We don't need someone to surpass Hayward, we just need someone to approach his level of consistency.

Here's the decision - definitely not Favors.

Favors is really undervalued on this board. Look at him compared to other players of the league in the same position. He's much better and more valuable than most give him credit for when seen in light of other players at his position.

The Jazz have pushed out many players now because do not merely want to be "playoff competitive," but rather "championship competitive." If they were going to be content with what they had, they would have re-signed Al Jefferson.

He is not undervalued...we all say that he is a good player...but he does not play winning basketball...this is my only concern!

Explain how he does not play "winning basketball", and since you're Diamond77 I'm sure this will include an explanation on how Kanter does by some lame arbitrary criteria.
