Game Thread? Jazz @ Warriors. 2nd Round. 1st Game. (8:30 MT 5/2/17)

If Exum got to dribble and probe like Hill or Mack ,he'd score or draw a foul ....but he doesn't get that opportunity with Snyder. I'm fearful we'll get a steady diet of Mack as we lose while only getting small doses of what Exum can do if given minutes

Reminder: Right now, Quin doesn't trust Exum as PG. Someone has to play that position on the court when Hill is on the bench.

In the 2nd quarter, Hill was playing the point and Mack was playing ... well, I don't know what Mack was playing, but he was milling around in the backcourt. It made absolutely no sense to have Mack on the floor instead of Exum.

The most irritating thing to me is that they played scared tonight, like they were expecting to lose. They didn't do that against LA at all, and there's no reason for them to be terrified of this team. If they play with the confidence they attacked the Clippers with, we'll win a few games in this series.

They looked timid but also just really tired.

Dang looking at the stat line it looks better than I thought for the jazz. Hayward clanked too many open looks, and hood missed all four of his Threes, but the rest seems okay.

What's really good or very scary was the warriors only hit 7 of 29 Threes. If they hit on 40% ....hold on.

Wow, had no idea Hayward shot that badly. That's good, similar to how he started against the clippers.

Another interesting stat is that they were only +2 with Durant on the floor and +5 with curry. I definitely think their uptempo bench should be a focus over the next couple days.

Takeaways? Rodney Hood played better and got that mid-range, attack to the basket game going that we haven't seen in a while.

Gobert is a huge mismatch for them and we have to do a better job in getting him the ball.

Ingles' head was not in the game, he will be more focused next game. I also expect Gordon to play better and attack the basket a bit more. Has to play like the super star he is

Quin is desperate to get some good quality playmaking from either Mack or Exum. Both have glaring limitations

GSW shot poorly from 3. That's not sustainable

The TO cost us big time. GSW was great at playing passing lanes and pressuring the ball

GSW offense is a thing of beauty

It's not looking good but I like the effort. I'm wondering the adjustments Q will make

I think we ought to shelve mack for the rest of the series. We need stops to beat them and we aren't going to get any when Shelvin is in there. Also, Favors was struggling tonight. Maybe we ought to rest him in the next game and just keep Diaw and JJ at the 4 until game 3.

God, looking at teh box score the Jazz threw this game away. Warriors shot 24% from 3. We gave them so many points on turnovers and fastbreaks. Heart breaker
