Every time I see this video I can't help but think "what the hell happened to this kid?"

Jazz fanz wanted defense ,well they have it ......but it aint winning games

Up to the injury of Hayward and Hood it instantly led to a better stretch of winning than the Jazz ever had with Kanter. Hell, actually even taking into consideration the lost games where the Jazz were injured, they've still won 12 of 19 games. And that was also with nothing but rookies and D-league talent in the backcourt.

They never won 12 games during any 19 game stretch with Kanter starting.

Every time I see this video I can't help but think "what the hell happened to this kid?"

I feel the same way. My only thought is he doesn't feel comfortable to drive from a physical standpoint and now it's mental. If he does as many of us have said - gains muscle and improves core-strength in the off-season then HOPEFULLY he'll begin driving to the hoop next season. It's just so weird. I was at the Clippers preseason game where he drove to the hoop (double-teamed) got fouled and made the and-1. So it's frustrating to watch Exum on offense now.

Agreed. I went to the Lakers preseason game and he didn't look hesitant at all. Funny thing is he regularly puts his body on the line defensively, just seems he's bigtime confused about what he wants to do offensively. Hopefully at some point he'll stop thinking so much and just loosen up. I really do wonderwhat instructions he's been given from coach though. I can't believe he'd be staying in games if he wasn't doing what was asked of him.

It's not like he can't jump either. He gets pretty high up on his fast break dunks. He just needs to do that ish in traffic instead of these weak *** floaters he always tries.

He was practicing those floaters in the pre game warm up even back then, but he would still jump a little while he shot the floater, now the form is terrible. Preseason he seemed happy to go up and look for contact. So frustrating to watch when you can see his physical gifts. Just hoping a couple of switches get flicked on over the next year or two.
I'd like to see him work on a pullup 10-12 footer. He could get that shot almost anytime he wanted.

Coach Johnson and Thurl sounded pretty upset about Kanter.
That said I predict Gobert gets scored on a few times but when Gobert swats the hell out of him the crowd is going to go off like we haven't seen in a few years.
