Game Thread: Utah Jazz @ Dallas Mavs 6:30 MST

Not only is Corbin the worst coach in professional sports, he gotta be the stupidest mother****er on the planet.

Another thing that just baffles me.. if Millsap can shoot the three why don't they run a few plays during the game for him to get an open look? It seems like they only use him in late game situations shooting the three.

I guess they like his "clutch" factor at shooting them over Miles, Hayward, Harris, etc

Groundhog day with Ty Corbin.
ty is a scatterbrain that is pretending hard that he knows what he is doing.he fails on so many levels and instances that I believe that a highschool coach would do way better with this team.we can say trade this for that but until Corbin and staff get shown the door this franchise has no chance to progress in to anything looking like a winner.

Things we already knew that were proven again this game:

Al Jefferson is an inefficient black hole
CJ Miles is a dumbass
The younger guys should be getting FAR more minutes than they do

Anything else?

Watching the games when the young guys come in Im always feeling more confident that the team is to do a hell of a lot better than the starters.

Youth movement got us back in this game and set the tone in the fourth quarter. So if the argument is that you want to play the vets to show the young guys how to win, what do we do when the vets have piss-poor effort and the young guys put for the effort and keep us in games? Also, I posted some defensive stats that showed how Burks is by far are best on ball defender a while back, he is showing that those stats are not a fluke. He was Terry's shadow when he was in the game and really put pressure on him and bothered him. We could have been blown out tonight; at least we fought back.

Still waiting for Al Jefferson to break his "More shots than points" streak. Past five games:

@ Min: 20 shots, 18 points, 2 FTA
@ Sac: 14 shots, 12 points, 0 FTA
v Hou: 16 shots, 14 points, 0 FTA
v Mia: 20 shots, 20 points, 2 FTA (tied, still awful so included)
@ Dal: 12 shots, 11 points, 3 FTA

God-awful efficiency.

Burks D is awesome. His only flaw is he gets picked too easy. 1-1 he is an absolute pest

He does get buried sometimes on screens, but also glides through off the ball screens very well. His opponents only shoot 28.6% off of screens and score only .53 points/possession off screens. In comparison, Dwyane Wade's man scores at 44.8% and scores .91 points/possession (good for 51st in the league) off of screens.

Agreed
That's why I want burks and Hayward to start. Not the upcoming bell Howard

The sad thing is that he seems to have some many opportunists to draw contact on a lot of his moves, but just doesn't have any kind of natural drawing contact ability.

He seems to avoid contact at all costs, on both sides of the court.

His defense never really stood out to me being bad today. He destroyed Haywood defensively every time he tried to post up, not that doing so is hard, but it's nice he stopped him.

Let the young guys close games, Ty!!! They get us back in and the vets can't finish. Game after game.

Some silver linings in this loss that I liked, Millsap had a good game, lots of burks mins--really liking his effort, Favors, good fight to get back in the game.

Dude, the vets did a great job cutting it to 5. The rookies did their part, but Sap was huge in bringing the lead back down to 5. Too bad that Burks didn't get the flagrant 1 call. That could have potentially been a momentum booster.
