GAMETHREAD: Jazz hosting Warriors - 1/13 7pm (mst) ROOT

You're my dude, but so were 4 other dudes. He's atrocious on D.

I'm well aware that he's a terrible defender, but I thought he looked pretty good tonight all things considered. I like Rudy as much as anyone and think the Jazz are much better with him out there. I think the fact that he was -27 or whatever you said has more to do with the Warriors having the best record in the NBA and the Jazz being pretty ****ty. The Warriors went on a huge run to start the 2nd half by completely destroying our offense and running the other way. Kanter grabbed some boards and got some buckets. I always expect poor defense from him, so boards and buckets are all I can hope for.

--Can't ask much more from Favors over the last few games, except maybe a few more assists. The guy has just been like clockwork with his numbers. You're almost shocked when he doesn't go 20 and 10 now shooting over 50% and bringing the D.

--Gobert is our best passing big and has 10 assists over the last 3 games; career high 16 pts tonight.

--We don't even have a shooter that's good enough to be able to "go off" from time to time and be lights out. Unlike Golden State, whose entire team seems to be able to hit anything the want. Unbelievable. Can't believe we let Korver go.

Favors needs to be a bigger part of this offense. He dominates at times then the team does not go to him for awhile. His jump shot is improving so fast.

I think Favors can/will next season be hitting threes.

How many defensive mistakes did Kanter have on Green? A billion?

Kanter is the weak link everyone has to cover for. When Gobert is in, we don't have that problem and our wings can play respectable defense.

Kanter just has to play with Rudy anchoring the defense. He's probably the only guy in the league that's able to cover up his bad D.

Would help if we had some more athleticism on the perimeter as well so Gobert wouldn't have so many holes in the **** to plug simultaneously. Having Favors and Gobert out there goes far in solving that problem at least.

+/- is one of the most worthless stats. I wish people would stop bringing it up.

It's definitely not worthless, but it requires some unpacking to see why the numbers are the way the are. Just because someone's - doesn't mean they are necessarily the weak link. I believe that's what you're trying to say.

He has made this shot a little softer with more arc. I could see him having corner 3 range with his form.
