the government should get out of the marriage business. they should have never medled in it.
that solution i think would have avoided all this crap and demonstration and civil right stuff.
in israel the government doesnt meddle with marriages. they have cohabitation rights for everyone.
so if you lived with a brother or sister you get same rights as married couples gay couples or college roommates.

thiose rights where granted since 1994. but hey the liebrals hate israel so they wont try and copy something that works

I think some correlation can be made from the overlap of the two facts. Being worse educated makes you statistically more likely to oppose gay marriage and statistically more likely to get divorced.

Of course, some of this might be a symptom rather than cause. People with higher education are also much more likely to marry later and life and much more likely to have higher income. I'm sure there are studies looking at those two factors and divorce rates, as well.

or some would argue that now marriage is about love. not about procreating and starting a healthy balanced family unit.
so when people get married for the wrong reason only aka love and not for desire to create a family. the marriages wont last. cus loving someone does not last forever. but loving your offspring usually does.

Marriage, as defined by the people of Utah, has been redefined, first by the federal courts and today the outcome of that decision has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. I am disappointed with the decision by the court to usurp state authority and overrule the voice of the people of Utah as demonstrated by legislation with regard to marriage. I am also very concerned with the overwhelming trend to diminish state autonomy. I believe states should have the right to determine their own laws regarding marriage. Clearly, the majority of the justices disagree and their decision provides finality with respect to the law.

From Guberner Butthurt's Facebook post. I don't agree, so it's not an issue about of religion, but states rights. They knew they were beat, and didn't have a leg to stand on.. so they made a new leg out of nothing.
