This depends largely on the trustworthiness of the person condemning something. Trump isn't a credible person. During the election Trump repeatedly acted like he didn't even know what white supremacy was. He can say all sorts of things, but without taking any action to prove otherwise it seems like empty words. Actions speak louder than words.
