George Hill coming to Utah

Imagine how bad this trade is going to look if George Hill gets injured.

this is terribly risky IMO.

I don't understand this complaint. Don't we run a risk of ALL of our players getting hurt during the season. I mean, last year was pretty bad as far as injuries go. I just checked Hill's stats and he does seem decently durable.

I love that trade for New York. They shed that terrible contract of Lopez. Rose comes off the books after next season.

So that pretty much means Butler isn't going anywhere. I honestly think that Boston might offer us an offer we can't refuse for Hayward....

This trade tells me they want to win early and not get a late start. Even if Exum is great next year, he will have early rust that would potentially cost us games.

Teague is not the better player on this team in comparison to Hill.

Hill plays better off the ball and Teague has to have the ball in his hands. I think this will be a better fit with Hayward and Hood than Teague.

For what we want and need, Hill was definitely the better fit over Teague. Hill would demand less in a new deal, he plays better defense, and he can role model for Exum. He is a good fit. I'm just not a big fan of the price we paid.

More likely, we pick up Hill to appease Hayward. It's a win-now move, and I don't think the Jazz want to lose Hayward.

Better than maxing Harrison Barnes

I'll take the #3 and #16 for Hayward, Max Harrison Barnes, run the offense thru Hood. And I wouldn't do this deal for 12.. There'd still be $$ to sign Conley or another max player.

The end result of next season is the same ---- the Jazz lose.. except the team is much younger 3 new rookies to develop and they'll have a btter chance to land a top pick in a better draft.. and they wont be on the hook to pay Hayward 30,000,000..

I have patience though.. To me this move signals the Jazz are choosing to take baby steps.. When I gamble, I like to go big (like the D-Will to NJ trade)

This trade is Tyson Chandler to the Knicks status IMO.
